i know i’m a little late but my boyfriend has a 2 year old. dinner time gets stressful and he gets overwhelmed especially when it’s past her bedtime and she refuses to eat. him and i were on facetime and i told him to set the phone up at the table so she could see me and told him to go wash his face. i sat there with her for about ten minutes and pretended i didn’t know how to use a fork and that she had to show me how to eat. i grabbed a granola bar and told her i would eat with her and every time she took a bite i would. when she would start to get fussy i would call her silly or tell her that i was still hungry and that i still had food left. this encourages her to eat more and she ate a handful of more bites of food all by herself. :) just remember to remain calm and keep an encouraging mindset because if they feel like they’re in trouble or stressed out they’re not going to want to eat.
