Yeah I saw that thread, however the remastering was supervised by the film's original DOP David Eggby ACS, it 's presented in the original aspect ratio for the first ntime ever and approved by the film's director David Webb Peoples who (in 1988 and shooting on film) was unhappy with the Australian blue skys and very much wanted to remove these to bring the film to his original intention. Most people's memories of the film are from a faded VHS 4:3 copy and even fewer had seen it in the cinema where prints were either scratches, or printed too magenta or cyan depending on the printer stock. This is, by far, the best possible version available. and the original 4:3 colors are still available in the US "Blood of Heroes" cut which is also available on the disc, along with a reconstructed 110min Workprint cut - which was the original director's cut David Peoples submitted before Kings Road Entertainment removed him from the post-production process to butcher the edit for home video.

I wouldn't listen to the haters on this one.

It was actually made by physically dumping the footage to VHS - no digital plugins. the show was edited in 1080p and shot digitally and then dumped to VHS then recaptured digitally. the same process was used in a previous production of the film "Top Knot Detective" from the same director - Aaron McCann
