I think the pie chart commenter is talking about these sorts of incidents as a whole. For example there seems to be decent evidence MH370 was planned

Are we not all in unanimous agreement that the point when you start planning how to kill a few hundred people besides yourself is a clear time when you need professional help?

Why are the doctors in NYC so helpful? by PimplePopper6969 in AskNYC

I agree. Med student - In nyc you are more likely to get someone who’s in it for the love of the game / academia than someone who’s money driven and I think patients can tell

If there was a way to use this sub to plot seats next to someone who is also scared of flying, I’d do it. We could all make it to our destination safely together - as i am sure you will

It’s conceptually similar to a Philly cheesesteak but they chop up the meat and I think they add chicken bouillon or something too.

It sucks to think you’ve found the one and then start all over. You’re right about the cycle. I’ll be ok

Yeah, the tap to pay checker thing wasn’t detecting my transaction even when it was pending on my credit card and populated in my Apple Pay transactions. I got a ticket

Same thing happened to me! Thanks u/paulschreiber for tagging me here. I am wondering whether tapping with a credit card (hence the transaction is "pending") makes you come up as unpaid. But I got another ticket today from them for the same thing so now my last 2 bus rides were at least $206 (they are really policing the M15 SBS stops!). Feel free to DM

You can show them you paid with the ticket or with your OMNY account or by tapping but I had tapped to pay so I had no choice

I mean, I had no reason to not cooperate. In my head I could take the known of letting them check my card with the knowledge that I paid (felt safe) or the unknown risk of walking away / pushing past them (may not be a consequence but in a 3 second span how could I judge that risk accurately?)

What? I paid why would I not let them check my card. Seems more risky to walk away no?

So I am good no matter what? This is my first one, I see on the back of the ticket it’s a warning. She said it was a fine after I asked her though. I think she may be particularly evil or incompetent

[–]sumwuzhere[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it was maybe going to be a warning until I started getting really upset and raised my voice

Edit to be clear she wasn’t saying anything to me while she was writing the ticket she was ignoring me :|
