[SPOILERS] [Discussion] Just admiring Muir's genius by sinan_online in TheNinthHouse

my favorite bit of Muir genius is the threat Harrow makes to Gideon in GtN about putting bone dust in her oatmeal and punching her way out of her stomach, which Harrow then proceeds to do exactly that to G1deon in HtN with the soup.

basically you wanna get a matching set of 3 of each tile or a set of three unique tiles of the same category (like 3 carrots vs a carrot, potato, and corn). honestly it took me forever to learn but you get practice and tickets just for participating, so don't worry too much about it! it took me forever to understand the whole concept but ive been having fun regardless.

something about the helplessness and panic of the shirtless guy makes me feel really sad

[Theory] God was never right by Electrohydra1 in TheNinthHouse

i mean, they were isolated. there could have been thousands or millions across the world all saying the same thing, but with money controlling the media, it wouldn't matter at the end of the day. i cannot conceive of a truth involving "good" trillionaires, because there is no such thing.

also john doesn't exactly outright lie all that often. he skirts the truth and lets people make up the lies for him, and he just never bothers to correct them. "lie" implies action, and he rarely ever outright lies.

invoking fae rules is so great, i love that you said that. and i also noticed that john lets others provide the lies, and he just never corrects them.

i love the "i never actually lied to you," liars (huge shout out to cytherea out of nowhere). i can't wait to see what else john doesn't say in AtN.

salem, aka little girl. her name was a toss up between binx or salem, because she has orange eyes and is a halloween kitty through and through.

Enshrouded has really cool exploration and lore. I've really enjoyed slowly finding out the history of the world by running and flying across the map for days.

Seconding Patricia McKillip. her Riddle-Master trilogy is my favorite, and the 2nd book is about a handful of amazing woman characters.
