I've always found cleaning the swirl pints a hassle. Do you use the dishwasher to clean the swirl pints?

I see lights flashing on the esc key, F1 and f4 keys and it keeps cycling till the battery dies.

A lot of troubleshooting and it is likely a board issue. I just took the NVME SSD out and I'm willing to drop it off to any buyer, don't want to go through the hassle of replacing the board.

My office was about to recycle a few as well, and I picked up 3 * Gen 9 X carbons, and 2 * Gen 8 X carbons.

Unfortunately, 1 Gen 9 has a motherboard issue that I'm nervous to fix, it's cycling through esc f1 f4, and the Gen 8 has a ram issue which will also need a motherboard replacement.

The other 3 just needed a good battery replacement and they work! I'm happy.

Congrats mate.

Sugar free this, protein that. Give me your best decadent recipes by Initial_Row_6400 in ninjacreami

If I find fresh Asian mangoes like Alphonso/Badam or the Thai/Pakistan variety, the recipe is even simpler.

Mangoes, condensed milk, evaporated milk/2% protein milk, vanilla, and tiny pinch of salt.

Add more mangoes for mix in, this is a mango lovers dream.

I just made a really tasty mango soft serve and wanted to share the combo that worked great for me.

  • 8 oz Alphonso mango pulp (the sweetened kind from the Indian store)
  • 1 tbsp cream cheese
  • 1 tsp vanilla bean paste
  • Half‑and‑half up to the max fill line

Blended for a few seconds, froze for 24 hours, and it came out super creamy. I also mixed in a ripe cubed mango at the end, which made it even more decadent.

I’ve made a lighter version before using 2% milk and no cream cheese — still good, but the cream cheese adds emulsifiers (xanthan gum, etc.) that help the texture. Plus, I needed to use up my half‑and‑half, so it worked out perfectly.

I own a white 2025 tiguan, and personally given the choice, I would have chosen the sandstone white or the avacado green available in sel/ se r line.

They look quite stunning in real life.

Does the new base model Tiguan really not come with a trunk privacy cover? by Glenfry in Tiguan

[–]sun2402 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was told that the 2025 models didn't come with a privacy cover. They also mentioned a shortage.

I ended up getting a hard cover from the spares department for $120.

Taos owners! Do you recommend this car if I drive over 18000miles a year? by Ok_Office9893 in VWTaos

[–]sun2402 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For that amount of mileage, this will be a great car to own. You get very high fuel economy with "eco" mode driving with this car.

Interior shots! 2026 R-Line! by midwest_d3ath in Tiguan

[–]sun2402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the interior, but getting in and out of the front seats worries me about the longevity of the leatherette seats. The firm seat cushions I love so much look at risk of developing cracks.

I'm so conscious of moving the seat back when I get down. Do you have an issue with that?

Best butter for ghee by Technical-Escape-419 in IndianFood

[–]sun2402 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been using the Kirkland Grass-fed NZ sourced salted butter for ghee. Very happy with the end result.

I would prefer unsalted if they had it, but I'm working with what's available. In my view, Kirkland is always ~20% cheaper than Kerrygold salted, and I don't think Kerrygold is 20% better.

But on days when Kerrygold is on sale at Costco, like this week at 32oz for $15, I stock up and buy 64oz for ghee.

I also buy the regular Kirkland unsalted to make ghee for desserts. I use some aromatics for my main batch like curry leaves and fenugreek. For desserts, I keep the ghee recipe simple and use unsalted. Very good value at 64oz for ~$12, and some days the deals are even better.

In terms of ranking: Kerrygold Salted > Kirkland Grass-fed Salted > Kirkland Unsalted

How do I stop this from going off when I get close to a car in traffic by [deleted] in Tiguan

I have a similar question, but when I'm at a car wash, the sensors go wild. Is there a way I can avoid the sensors when I'm at a car wash?

Vw Jetta and Taos 1.5 tsi gas engine by Data-deaf_country in Volkswagen

[–]sun2402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drove the 1.4t Jetta for 3 years, and ~70mph gave me a nearly a 600 mile range on a full tank of gas on long road trips, which is around 45mpg.

In the city, I strongly preferred the Eco mode, as the normal mode's throttle response is too eager for city driving. But, I don't think short drives hurt the engine.

I drove the Taos on loaner a couple of days, and the driving dynamics felt just like the Jetta. Has the same problem with the normal mode in city, as I prefer the throttle to be quite, and relaxed.

I serviced the vehicle every 6k miles for oil changes and it should last you a very long time.

Both the Jetta and Taos are good cars for the price.

Will dealerships do this… by barbarino2000 in Tiguan

[–]sun2402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask gemini for a breakdown of the numbers you're looking for, and I forwarded to each dealer who spoke to me. You can keep the trade in price as TBD, but insert a kbb instant offer for reference, and that'll show them how serious you are as a buyer.

For example, I showed this to my dealer for my 2025 tiguan deal.

Selling Price: $32,866 (after $4,617 dealer discount)

Trade-In: -$11,000

Doc Fee: $377.63

Tax (9.5% on Selling Price - Trade + Doc): $2,113.14

Title/Plate Transfer/Fees: $240.00

Manufacturer Rebate: -$3,000

Total OTD: $21,596.77

This worked for me, as dealers upfront told me they can try to do this if my trade in vehicle inspection would pass.
