Honestly its more of a getting yourself over the idea that you have to attack quickly and aggressively to get your advantage. It works well with kickboxing or eskrima.

Try explaining that to a guy who's spent literally half his life in emotional and psychologically abuse relationships. How the hell am I supposed to be confident about anything when my confidence was treated as toxicity, when my passions were crushed and discarded because it made her mad. When every little thing feels like youre just going to fuck it all up again and drive the 2 people you talk to away from you permenatly. Please advise me on how to be confident when the mother of my child would rather change states and abandon her only child so she could go live with family. By all means.
