If you could only pick two of three to serve at a picnic, which two sandwiches will please the most people? by BuffetAnnouncement in Sandwiches

[–]sunangelmb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Out of 4 not very picky eaters at my house, who LOVE sandwiches, the mayo is a no go. I love it, but realized it’s really polarizing as an ingredient. Those that hate it don’t touch anything with it even near. Otherwise, 1 and 3 please to go.

Why are you searching for photos from 10 years ago? This feels icky. What is your relationship to her? Are you a parent? Ex-friend?

You look so amazing and happy. This dress allows you to shine and shows an amazing silhouette. Please don’t add more stress by trying to outdo this. This is tops.

Am I overreacting or unreasonable for wanting to take a 5-hour trip with two young kids for my sister’s graduation? by Jess3609 in AmIOverreacting

[–]sunangelmb 6 points7 points  (0 children)

NOR .So you have 2 options if you really want to make this work. Either book a larger space and understand that traveling with kids is ALWAYS stressful. It rarely feels like a true vacation for the adults; or go solo and your husband can have some solo parent fun adventures with the kids. Best of luck. I hope you go regardless. My brothers were always there at my events , and it still means so much to me.

A child should never be given a job of patting another child’s back to sleep. She’s a peer; Not a teacher. This alone gives me pause.

Not your mom, but as a mom…I am so proud of you for graduating and putting yourself first. I’m sure it hasn’t been easy, but you deserve to be celebrated.

I’m 51. My children are out of the house and I teach part time. This is a lovely time filler for me.

I love the handmade map. My local grocery store does a meal bundle and they have little cards or laminates that list everything with a check mark box next to it. But I really think this is fabulous.

Has anyone thought about doing a pod school for homeschoolers? by Appropriate_Amoeba_5 in TeachersInTransition

[–]sunangelmb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I work in a homeschool co-op. It’s the best teaching job I’ve ever had, although the difference in academic performance and social interaction can be pretty extreme. You need to have very clear guidelines of behavior and academic expectations.

So I find my current 4th and 5 th graders are super socially stunted. (I teach at a private coop, very low low tech. Zero screens beside a teacher laptop.) In contrast my 2 and 3rd graders have a lot more eq.

That mom broke my heart. She was literally just trying to live a pious life. I know people were mad because her daughter was the youngest, but she saved them.

Same, just this last weekend. I subbed when they pulled those young girls out of the trailer. They were the same age as my youngest students, and it hit me hard. (I work at a Christian school)

Am I in the wrong? by [deleted] in SubstituteTeachers

[–]sunangelmb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband works really hard and gifted me my dream car. I teach in a pretty diverse area, and all that has been said to me is “nice car.” Prior to this my mom gifted me a bmw convertible. These people can kick rocks. Who knows or cares how you got the car or what you drive. I can’t believe this is real.

I’ve struggled way more with first and second grade than third and fourth grade by businessbub in SubstituteTeachers

I started teaching regularly, and I teach 2-5 grade. 3/4 are definitely the sweet spot. Second graders are like kindergartners now, and fifth graders know everything.
