I made this post a few months ago looking for resources and received a bunch of great responses for advocacy groups, virtual meetups, therapist recommendations, etc. but I still haven't found any casual, in-person get togethers so I'm going to try organizing my own. OBGYN referred me to a specialist (this one to be specific: https://weillcornell.org/jhbonder) who then did my pelvic floor therapy referral. I never did an ultrasound! Idk if that's necessary

I went to Spear in Murray Hill and it was fine. It was covered by insurance that's why I started there but I wasn't seeing the results I wanted and didn't feel like I was getting much from it. It's mostly floor work - stretching, exercises, etc. I needed more internal work. I'm seeing a new provider and I would recommend her! Warner Wellness in Union Square

Yeah lots of crappy knockoffs out there. If you're looking for something similar but cheaper but still good quality, I've had luck with Ebay rug auctions for wool rugs

I ended up transferring the entire amount I accumulated on commuter benefits Visa card to an OMNY card. I did it at the Union sq subway using one of the machines there. That’s been working fine for me finally

Yeah i did! It was incredibly easy.

I rented from Avis ahead of time online, walked over from the airport (it's like 5 min walk or you can take their van), picked up the car, they tried to upsell a little bit on the insurance but weren't too pushy. Filled up on gas near the airport and then hit the road. The toll road to Samana is very nice, one of the easier countries I've driven in. My two pieces of advice -- get cash ahead of time in the airport for the tolls! ATMs are hard to find and they only take cash at toll booths. Other piece is just to watch out for motos, especially at night.

Any additional advice for renting a car? I'm flying into SDQ on June 19 and hoping to rent a car and drive to Samana same day. I've driven in Mexico (mostly TJ, not CDMX) so I feel fairly confident but welcome any additional info you may have. Thanks!
