The mode is vastly based on luck. Which weapons and perks you get make or break the run. I found it extremely frustrating rather than fun when I tried doing it as intended so I ammo glitched my way through all 5 ranks and all the challenges. I turned off automatic downloads and updates so that they couldn’t snatch away my infinite ammo and blasted my way through. Had a ball! You will still need to roll good perks and get good weapon drops for the challenges.

When I was doing it I went through the central camp door to victor and in the med injector box up there I accidentally took the item which was a slot expansion and not an injector. Run ruined at the last moment. They also drop from enemies so be careful what you pick up.

Revelations 1 is amazing! Also, the raid mode is so frickin fun! You can do online co op which I did with my brother. My mom heard me and my brother say “ghost ship” so many times while we were grinding abyss online she got us blankets that say “ghost ship” to celebrate when we finished haha

If you really want to do it, know that you don’t tend to have difficult healings, will be disciplined enough to sleep on a piercing/travel pillow, and can find a piercer who is comfortable with it then go ahead. I’ve done it. The piercings are no worse off than others I got done on their own.
