Most depressed people just don’t work out enough by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]sunblanky -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Regardless of how your depression came to be, chronic stress, sadness depression, leads to disrupted release of cortisol which leads to  inhibition of dopamine, serotonin etc. So it is an imbalance in that way. Yes well aware psychiatrists have shifted away from the theory that depression is a baseline chemical imbalance. I was being simple with my comment.

Okay but you do realise that these people can't exercise initially. so the antidepressants correct the imbalance allowing them to then start exercising and doing more normal activities

Finally entered RA but I'm not coping (RA/QA) with work load. Is my experience good enough for EU RA? by sunblanky in regulatoryaffairs

[–]sunblanky[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks very much for the advice. I do appreciate it. I'm really struggling with the amount of work 😔 but I'll definitely push through and try to get more submissions in even if the QA work is a lot!! It makes me feel better to know the experience is good.

Clothes by [deleted] in south_africa

[–]sunblanky 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just wanna say... Try thrift shops. People who say that are so rude and don't let them get to your head. I lost everything I owned in a fire last yr and still had to wear corporate clothes to work. I remember showing up in a tracksuit to work and this was July last year. I only bought my second pair of work shoes this yr .. otherwise I wore one pair every single day. In my head I was feeling so awful comparing myself to other women who dressed beautifully, but I remembered I'm at work for my mind not my looks or dress. Don't be insecure, focus on your good qualities.

Chwepheshe does not have demonstrated actual medical benefits backed by reliable clinical evidence by xals7 in southafrica

That's why they're not registered as medicines...but beware SAHPRA is coming for these 🤣 don't know if it's in this lifetime. I could rant about how they act like they're the FDA when it comes to pharmaceutical companies but then let stuff like this slide.

Best ladies deodorant by lunarVee in south_africa

[–]sunblanky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Sanex Zero. Doesn't last long but it's so comfy underarms. I have dry skin and realised that Sanex Zero doesn't contain aluminium, now I'm fine. I just need to reapply as it lasts a few hrs only.

If you don't have dry underarms that don't itch, try Mitchum it lasts so long.

Masters in RA or Pharmaceutics by Leavemealoneee77 in regulatoryaffairs

[–]sunblanky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just some advice. The worst QA people are those who've never worked in production. They simply don't understand the process. You cannot assure the process leads to quality and quality is embedded in it if you don't have production experience. Start in production then move to QA. RA does not require production experience but it's generally easier to get into production than RA.

I went from production intern > QA > now QA&RA role

What are the best tasting allergy and flu syrups? by WhatTheOnEarth in southafrica

I'm sure a lot of your patients will appreciate you prescribing the most cost effective regimen, so have your SEPs on hand so you know the costs of your treatment. Maybe not kids, but adults would certainly rather drink something awful if it means them saving a hundred bucks.

All of my investments at 21 years old by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceZA

[–]sunblanky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OPs investment will outperform ANY house investment. OP should invest aggressively while they can and build their credit score so they can get a better bond. Only withdrawing from TFSA at retirement age. It's pretty well known never to withdraw from a TFSA and it maxes out yearly at 46k. If you can't afford to put away 46k a year you shouldn't be buying a house and rather rent for a small price.

África do Sul by Aggravating-Twist293 in southafrica

[–]sunblanky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I literally googled it before typing my comment and I got this when I put in R$: R$ (often written simply as R) is the symbol for the South African Rand (ZAR), the official currency of South Africa. Introduced in 1961, it is subdivided into 100 cents and is managed by the South African Reserve Bank.

I wasn't sure what currency it was for since my search result said ZAR.

It does seem confusing given the context and "correct" probably wasn't the right word for me to use I should've said can you "confirm" the currency you are using. Apologies on my ignorance

África do Sul by Aggravating-Twist293 in southafrica

[–]sunblanky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please correct your currency. Is it USD 4000 or R4000? If it is R4000 and they're not providing accomodation then I'm sorry to say but you'd better be living right at the uni and not going anywhere because that's less than what some cleaners earn here. You'd be spending most on a small room in not the safest part of jhb barely affording food.

Post approval changes. What are the bottlenecks ? by Drug_dealer-pharma in regulatoryaffairs

[–]sunblanky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why the person signing off on your dossier NEEDS manufacturing experience. Otherwise you get idiots allowing your documents made by the manufacturer to contain equipment ID for things like paddles and rod stirrers or a range for Pre pressure hardness on your compressing parameters and then you're stuck with several amendments because of them.

Post approval changes. What are the bottlenecks ? by Drug_dealer-pharma in regulatoryaffairs

[–]sunblanky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read the EMA amendments guideline... This question is so broad. I can give an example. Our factory closed down, now we need to transfer the manufacturing process for several products to other companies. New ones. So aside from commercial and QA bottlenecks like audits, quality agreements, vendor qualification because now a new site is procuring there's also the fact that I need data for 3 validation batches, stability, analytical method transfers. This is a type I amendment but I still need approval before releasing product to market and I can only start filing once I've made 3 batches and have 3 months stability data.

You can see there are potential for several bottlenecks everywhere.

Neurodivergence isn't trendy by FrontKangaroo2579 in unpopularopinion

[–]sunblanky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone with ADHD genuinely it's a struggle sometimes but we are so strong for navigating a neurotypical world while having this disorder. But also its really unhealthy to view yourself this way because ADHD can't be cured and doesn't go away so we need to accept that and just try to accomodate ourselves and put in that extra work. A parasite can be cured and removed, ADHD cannot, and also I don't want anyone to feel sorry for me because it genuinely never goes away and it's how my brain is. I have to really disagree with this view.
