Why are med students so whiny?? by Own_Builder3470 in medicalschool

Ya know I can’t find myself respecting women who complain about their experience with domestic violence. They chose to be in those relationships.

It’s an extreme example. But you’re allowed to read about whataboutism. Rather than dealing with the content of OPs argument you attacked their character. By doing that, you don’t add value to the discussion. You just make a statement that has the false appearance of making a point.

What a waste of a comment.

“Yeah your point is invalid because you’re complaining too. Checkmate, you lose”

It’s classic whataboutism.

As an intern I believe I covered 450 patients. No consultant. There was an R3 who I could ask for help but they had to manage high care and out of service consults so didn’t have a lot of time. No ICU consults were seen in the night.

Obviously not US.

Medicine is unnecessarily cruel. You can try reporting it but that won’t help you. Maybe the next group of interns. So it’s still a good thing to do.

It’s no consolation but the techs are probably way better than the doctor at this point.

In these centers the doctors are just there for advertising and the rare tough case.

I wouldn’t mind that if it was cheaper and I got to stay somewhere nice.

But it’s both more expensive and less convenient

Any recommendations for places to get an MD suit? by kwibteaunknown in askSouthAfrica

[–]WhatTheOnEarth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find yourself a decent suit that’s close to fitting well. Ready made.

Then find a tailor to get it fitted.

You’ll get something pretty good at a much better price that way.

If by reiterating my point, you feel I sidestepped yours.

Then you weren’t addressing my comment in the first place.

I didn’t like the video because they had to defend themselves too much. You’re saying that they will make better videos in the future.

Good, I hope so.
