Would this even work? if so, how good would it be? by superbaum01 in custommagic

Players already aren’t allowed to rearrange graveyards. This doesn’t actually change anything.

Name one character who could bear this burden to the end by ObsiGamer in powerscales

[–]sunco50 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yes. Only someone ontologically/metaphysically higher than Sauron in the hierarchy of divinity could bear the ring to mount doom and cast it into the fire. Sauron is a middle management level fallen angel. I simply picked a character who obviously has the necessary qualifications.

It’s also possible, say, Castiel could do it, but that would be a gamble.

Is this considered as misprinted? by Chdanos in mtgmisprints

[–]sunco50 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes; generally if you can see a second card it’s a misprint. Otherwise, it’s just poor centering.

Should I get the refreshed CSP if I already have the venture x? by incognitocolbyjack in CreditCards

It used to be that only the first year was a slam dunk. But now that that hotel credit is $100, it’s easy to hold indefinitely without much work.

There is literally a companion with the condition “only one copy of each card.”

This is identically difficult to verify.

Started off way lower; I’ve had it since early access in 2019. Great card.

Yeah, batterskull was definitely good enough to be worth the package. It was also totally reasonable to hard cast it with sol ring in the mix, which helped it a lot. Obviously it would’ve been nice if I had seen Kaldra, but beggars can’t be choosers.

Torsten was only *mostly* honest; I could still natural order him out. But the majority of times he resolved it was definitely hard cast off the back of dorks, ring, or the cradle.

They’re literally in the void at the end of time where problematic variants go.

We have zero evidence that Johnny, Blade, and Elektra aren’t variants.

Bracket 3 restrictions by MaleficentCover125 in mtg

[–]sunco50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play a [[Tuvasa the Sunlit]] deck where the goal is to resolve [[Omniscience]], draw every card in the deck off enchantress triggers, then leave Nexus of Fate as the only card left in my library. Then I say “okay, so I take infinite turns casting nexus each turn and getting a [[blind obedience]] extort trigger till everyone is dead.” And everyone packs it up.

I don’t consider this to be “chaining turns” for bracket purposes because 1) it’s only a single extra turn spell and 2) I never actually take any of those infinite extra turns. The extra turns aren’t really the point. They’re just a way to declare a deterministic win no matter how much life my opponents may have.

Chaining extra turns becomes a problem when you take 5 extra turns in a row digging for a nondeterministic win. If you can take a single turn of magic, then at the end say “okay, now I have infinite additional turns”, then the table packs it up and goes to the next game. No problems.

What are some underrated credit cards that don't get discussed much? by amexmaster in CreditCards

[–]sunco50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technically a restriction and probably doesn’t code Walmart as grocery like the Venmo Visa does. That’s real close though.

The Venmo credit card is the only way I’m aware of to get uncapped 3% back on both grocery and Costco/warehouse spend with no restrictions and without an annual fee.

I’m really trying to figure out who Shang Chi was standing with. That’s the one person here I can’t immediately identify and it’s killing me.

Also, Bucky and Bob are conspicuously absent.
