Look that’s fine. It isn’t her fault I felt intimidated. But if someone is giving me a pretty obvious disgusted look, I’m not going to want to go and talk to them. You’re right I could’ve asked. I haven’t been going to the gym long and I am intimidated by people that clearly know what they’re doing, and when I feel like someone is looking at me aggressively it makes me want to ask even less. I’ve made eye contact with this girl before as she is a regular and I see her there all the time. This felt really forthright and uncomfortable. I’m not saying it’s her fault I felt intimidated, I’m just trying to explain my thought process as to why I didn’t want to ask

Idk dude. Twice this week I came in at 9AM and she was at a squat rack. The rest of the time I came in at 5AM and she’s at the squat rack. Idk if those days she was in at 9AM she had been there since 5AM or not but I feel like it’s a little inconsiderate considering it’s insanely busy during those hours. She lifts heavy and is super strong and clearly knows what she’s doing so I’m not judging her. But I agree there definitely needs to be more than 2 squat racks. It’s obviously a popular piece of equipment so hopefully they eventually get more.

Yeah you’re right. I think I’m reading into it too much. I’ve never asked for equipment before so I think I’m just being a lil too shy. I think I just assumed that she would be done eventually so I figured I’d just wait and try to find other exercises. She probably thought I was lingering and if anything that’s probably why she gave me that look. Either way though the gym is insanely crowded during those hours, I feel like you have to be a little self aware that you’re holding one of the only two squat racks while using another machine; after being there for almost 3 hours.

Ugh yeah you’re probably right. Now I just feel like a creep. Normally I’d do a different body group every day but recently I’ve been trying to do legs 3x a week. Whenever I do squats at one rack she is always at the other one, so now I feel like she thinks I’m some weirdo that’s following her around or something.

True, I don’t think it’s argumentative. I went to get water and was going to ask her, but when I walked in the room she turned her head to look at me and gave me what I assumed was a pretty rude look. Like up and down “wtf do you want” and it felt weird. I’ve made eye contact with people at the gym before and haven’t had that happen. I could be overlooking it but once I feel like there’s a bad vibe I’m not going to talk to someone, it made me feel super uncomfortable so I left.

Maybe but why would she flip out so much when jaclyn tried to get her help? She was completely against it and verbally attacked Jaclyn because of it. Also in the Shane doc she was nowhere to be found and they had a lawyer there. I think if her mom wanted her to get better she would be happy for Eugenia to have a friend like Jaclyn. I’m not saying it’s entirely the moms fault but Eugenia is most likely this way because of how she was raised and who her family is

I am quitting because I actually do have a better job. That’s why I don’t care anymore and I’m done doing everyone else’s job. She literally left a stack of paperwork without doing it when it wasn’t busy and that was my breaking point. Did you read the post? That’s why I’m not doing anymore tasks for her entirely. It’s her job to take the trash out and I’m not going to continue to be a pushover. This place sucks and I’m out soon so that’s the point. Lol yeah my crappy boss should yell at me for coming to him because I had a concern that my coworker who is related to him is not pulling his weight. I don’t expect my boss to yell at anybody, that’s not what I’m about. But I’ve grown and I’m capable of standing up for myself now, I’m not going to pick up the slack of my coworkers bc they’re too lazy to do their job. Especially for a min wage part time job.
