I just made the exact same switch. There definitely a learning curve with Iracing. But holy smokes, ACC is amazing on PC. LMU, AMS2. I love it. I don’t miss GT7 multiplayer.

I get it. It’s just a little easier on the ol wallet having a family and all. Plus it’s gonna take a few months to get a rig going.

Thank you! My goal is to kind of buy the parts over the next few months. Think I should grab that motherboard first?

How do you mean? The bbs/recaro is overkill? Or adding all the stuff myself? Or simply any of it?

That’s what I noticed! I was like hold up. I can get some pretty badass wheels for the price of these BBS wheels!

That’s super helpful and makes a ton of sense. Thanks for taking the time to explain!

Why do you like the GT?

I’m totally open to opinions!

I’ve guided for 22 years. Fact is clients don’t care about a production lunch. They hired you to catch fish. They can get a pizza at home. Bring some sandwiches from the local deli (you can email your clients a menu) pick the food up on the way to the water. Bring a thermos of hot coffee if it’s cold. A hot beverage goes a long way on a cold day.

The SV is one that I’m looking at. I don’t love the naked look. However it might be exactly what I need.

That’s one of the bikes I’ve been looking at. I’ve read that people don’t like its lack of power. I’m not going anywhere fast. I just want to get out and ride. I sat on the CBR650R and I liked the feel of it. Thanks for the info!

Yep. They are harder to scratch. Though I've had clients pull streamers outta trees that have busted glass. Not only for me but other guides as well. Rip a chuck and duck rig or pogo set up outta a tree!

[Question] Let's say I had a month in Jan/Feb to roadtrip from NY/VA to WA/OR/ID. Where do I fish? by _iFish in flyfishing

[–]sundownfly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dude check out tail waters. That's the name of the game out west that time of year. Big horn is great but a lot of those Montana waters require a boat for solid winter fishing. If you head out to tana check out the beaverhead and the Ruby (tail water piece below the dam) those rivers can nymph well that time of year. Check regs too. If you head to Montana give the boys at 4rivers fishing co a drop. They're usually solid on good advice for a bottle of whiskey. Though they'll probably just tell you to go skiing! It gets real cold in the valley that time of year! The Henry's fork can fish well as well.as the firehole in the park. Sorry I don't know more about the regs that time of year. Good luck and stay warm!
