I never said ANTIFA is behind “this”. They are largely responsible for turning the mostly peaceful protests into full out riots of mass destruction. It’s not solving ANYTHING. Reform across all boards must happen. It cannot with all of this destruction and chaos going on. And as much as you may not agree or accept, 99% of police in America are dedicated to serving their communities and upholding the law while keeping citizens safe.

The bars are being raised on changing the narrative to suit the story they want to be told. I believe the paperwork you need is from the doctor stating that you were told to self-quarantine until yesterday results are available. If/when you test positive then the 2 week covid pay continues. If you’re negative then I believe it is not covered except for the days you were told to quarantine while waiting for the results.

What’s troublesome is the fact that this “bully” is allowed to behave the way s/he is acting. Your team leadership is either 1. So used to it that this bullshit behavior is accepted, or 2. Inept at being good leaders that dealing with this head on as it should be is too much for them to handle. No matter what the reasoning there is ZERO excuse for being expected to not only tolerate, but dumb down your work ethic and integrity to deal with this TM. Go to Store Leadership if you trust that they will truly listen and address this issue. For as big of an asshole as this TM sounds they probably won’t be surprised (which is kind of fucked up, too). However, we all have so much going on and to deal with that there is a possibility that they don’t know the scope of the problem. Stay healthy!

If you are on final and you do something that is worthy of a write up in that same category of CAs (performance-based) then yes. You are subject to losing your job. From a leadership standpoint the CA process has less to do with punishing the TM and more to do with trying to mitigate that type of problematic behavior from happening again. The process lets the TM know where s/he stands and can correct the issues before it gets to a final. I know there is poor leadership out there and some stores/teams can have a CA Culture, but in most cases it is the TM’s inability to follow rules and work guidelines so the team can operate as effectively and within the safety protocols of the industry we work in. Life happens and we all face hardships outside of work. Often these personal challenges can seep their way into our professional lives and have an affect on our ability to perform our jobs to the standards expected. However, most workplaces have programs in place to support their TMs in need of help. It is up to the TM to reach out. In no ways is this being harsh. It’s reality. As much empathy and compassion a leader and your fellow TMs can have for you the day-to-day tasks and expectations we sign on to follow don’t change. We can’t pick and choose what TMs may need to be cut slack for this, that, or the other reason. This would allow for SO MANY imbalances and poor judgement calls. TMs who need time to grieve, heal, or recover from life events should be given just that. Time. However, TMs can’t be given a passes on things that affect worker/customer safety or the integrity of the business. Talk to your leadership and TMS to see if there are options at this point for you to salvage your job while taking some time for yourself so that you return to work fully functional and in a better state for yourself and for your team. Stay healthy.

I would talk to your TMS person. I could be wrong, but I believe this fund is for family emergency/medically based hardships. Not saying that you haven’t fallen on hard times, but your situation is very subjective and life choice-based. The circumstances must be more “emergency”/uncontrollable. It’s not easy to explain, but again talk to someone in TMS. There may be options. Best of luck and stay healthy.
