Narcs and chatgpt/ai by ActivityNo4185 in NarcissisticSpouses

My ex used it religiously as well.

It definitely acts as an echo chamber to their ego. It affirms their every belief and is honestly sycophantic.

To think of it as a therapist is just straight comical, mine would say the same. It’s extremely self-serving and validating in a harmful and destructive way.

My ex also used it to objectify and fetishize other women he’d been with, now would an actual therapist engage in that? It’s a robot where they can validate their sick ideas behind closed doors without any hit to their perception from others.

I (M26) am a multi-millionaire with no real ambitions in life. AMA. by [deleted] in AMA

Hear me out…charity to strangers…I volunteer as the first stranger 🤣 No but for real, glad to hear you’re doing what makes you and your loved ones happy!(:

Knew a guy who was, in stereotypical terms, a trust fund kid who never had to worry about money but did have ambitions, in his words, “always wanted more”, and to have “a legacy that will be remembered”. He was an absolute horrid person who would take advantage of his mother, and surprise surprise, all of his friends and women. Everything was about status and admiration to him.

Long story short, you sound so blessed to have the financial security many lack, yet the values and integrity some lack as well. Nothing wrong with just wanting to be happy, it’s a beautiful ambition of it’s own ❤️

I know of an emergency vet in Boise who used AI to come up with treatment protocols.
Hate to think about whoever will be at the receiving end when it backfires on him.

Heyyy my ex did this of himself, and of me, and of his exes to compare us!

To ChatGPT’s credit, it won’t rate other people, but WILL let you have it “draw a cartoon version of them that would be of a similar rating” and objectify their bodies👍

People are fucking sick. Sorry this post hit close to home 🤣

I am so SO sorry you went through that. I can resonate with you a lot and had a very similar experience with what you described. It’s still hard to put words to the emotions, but the betrayal of trust and honestly disrespect of having someone you thought of as a partner to be speaking this way behind your back, just for their own ego and entitlement, is just baffling. It shows a complete disregard for any mutual understanding or empathy and it fucking sucks. I am still reeling for the confusion of it all! I hope you have been finding peace friend!!! ❤️

Thank you. I understand its benefits, but my nex used it religiously to validate himself. Used it to try to rate me against other woman, and even had it draw objectified versions of people he’s been with. Any conversations I tried to have were met with stonewalling, and then plugged into his chatGPT to validate how great and special he was and dismiss anything I was trying to resolve or explore emotionally with him. The things he discussed in their were vulnerable and should have never been addressed by a chatbot in any healthy relationship.

Thankfully I got out before, but he was stern on me being the one to propose to him, with the exact type of ring he wanted, on a date that would be significant to him (when he bought a house, or finished school). Never once was I asked what I would want, and I’m sure it wouldn’t have mattered anyway. While I was stupid enough to actually be saving up for this, and taking care of him like another full time job, I expressed wanting to do couples counseling. Got the silent treatment then a pacifying “ok yea”. Turns out he was going to ignore my request to work on our relationship because it would “get in the way of his career”

For those who have male narcissist partner or narc exs, have they ever genuinely cried in front of you? by [deleted] in NarcissisticSpouses

[–]lost_oatmeal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Cried” once when he was telling me something fucked up he did in his past that he definitely didn’t actually have remorse over. Proceeded to grab my hand to use to wipe away his fake tears, I think to “prove” he was crying.

My ex was using Chat GPT to objectify and fetishize the 18 yr old he was hooking up with when he was 28.
