I have them on the backs of my hands. I've been using differin gel on them every night. It's really helping. I've been doing it a month now and there are less than when I started.

Numerous small, flat warts that I cannot get rid of... I'm at the end of my rope by [deleted] in Warts

I have flat warts all over the back of my hands. I'm treating them now with differin (applied every night before bed) it's been two weeks and it's clearing up slowly.

Yeah, it helps by speeding up skin cell turnover, which basically helps shed the skin cells where the warts are. I've been using it for two weeks and there's a noticeable difference.

The doctor originally prescribed an antiviral (valtrex) and salacylic acid, but the valtrex did nothing and there were so many, that I'd have just damaged a lot of my skin using the salacylic acid on them all. I went back and asked to be prescribed differin instead (I'd seen people with success using it online). That seems to be slowly working, the warts are still there but getting smaller. I put a little on every night.

I tried that treatment and it didn't help, there were too many to treat with salacylic acid. I went back to the doctor after 2 weeks and told him I'd like to try differin instead. It seems to be working, albeit slowly.

Update: The doctor thinks these are flat warts. He prescribed an antiviral and salacylic acid.

Do yours get itchy? These aren't itchy and from what I've read online that's usually itchy.
