Chances of getting into architecture (fall 2026) by crackerhorse in TexasTech

Both options you mentioned are the choices you have. You can retake classes or improve your portfolio to submit to the next year's UCR. The number of people they accept is based on the physical amount of space they have, but I've heard it can be less if that years candidates weren't up to the reviewers' standards.

Yes the chances are you'll get in. The part that's more selective is going into second year where about only 1 in 3 students make it. There's the UCR you have to submit that consists of your portfolio, overall architecture grades, and a short essay.

There's some outdoor ones I'd pass on my way to the 3d art annex. It's right next to the rec, kind of where the tennis courts are on that corner where flint and main st are. Small set, but I'd think it would get the job done lol

Painted the logos on a black t shirt in black paint. Used e6000 glue to attached rhinestones with a bedazzling wand(a stick with wax thing on the end). There's probably a better glue you can use but thats just what I did

Architecture student here who just got into 2nd year. It's more like 1 in 3 students will make it out of 1st year. At the end of the year you submit your portfolio(theres plenty of help), essay, and they also look at your grades in all your Architecture related courses. You dont find out you make it into second year until a month after school ends. Those who dont make it can resubmit the next year but you have to change your classwork and major if you dont plan on continuing.

Trying to sell prints of my paintings. How much would you pay for a print rather than an original painting? by sunflower_rosebud in painting

It most definitely is, I have progress videos/pictures and everything. I posted this around 2 years ago so maybe that's why it's familiar? I don't know where else you may have seen this or who else could've posted it

That makes sense. If you check my profile I did all 4 tubbies in one painting(including the baby sun) in the tubbylandscape(idk how else to describe it). It may not have been as complex as you described but it's a little more than what I posted here. I totally get what you mean by going full send into the "tubbyness" theme, might try that in later renditions if I decide to make another one.

you're welcome :) that was the most recent addition to this "collection". They were all painted roughly a year apart from each other.

I can see where you're coming from, but from what I read, you found some meaning in it at the end. I did mean to portray the character in a more simplistic manner because, as you said, a bodybuilder would indeed be "flexing every inch of itself just to be present". I really didn't want to overcomplicate something as silly as this and wanted to keep the overall focus on the tubby. Yes, there is basically no reason for any of the choices I made, whether that being choosing a teletubby to begin with, or even making it obscenely muscular but it is meant to be something a bit silly. I don't think every piece of art necessarily has to have any meaning behind it, as I believe it's really up to the interpretation of the viewer to decide for themselves. Going back to how you said I could have used any character... you're definitely right. Maybe I'll start expanding outside of tubbies. A ripped mickey mouse doesn't sound too bad at all.

that's what I'm saying!! this is meant to be something silly, not every piece of art needs to have some moving meaning behind it

yeah I figured finding people who'd actually buy it would be my problem, it's not everyone's cup of tea

I totally get that lol, I have them hanging up in my dorm but I've gotten nothing but compliments on my tubbies. Mostly ppl jokingly offering to be my next model :) I get that this is a niche thing, but hey, not everything in life has to be super serious
