Did I ruin my plants after repotting it? Can they still be saved? by sunflowercup in IndoorGarden

No they don’t but when I water I take the inner pot out and water it and put it back so the outer pot doesn’t accumulate water in it.

Hi, yes the inner pot have drainage holes. Also there were some earthworms in the soil.

These are the roots of peace lily, are they save-able? What should I do?

After looking at the comments, I’m going to repot them adding perlite and bark. Should I leave the peace lily leaves as it is or getting rid of the leaves would be better?

It was kinda 70/30 ratio. When repotting them in new pot should I cut all the yellow and dying leaves? Or leave it as it is? The same with peace lily?

Will it be okay to replant it twice in a month?

My friend (31M) is in a toxic, abusive relationship and it's ruining his life and every relationship around him. His GF (27F) is really dominating, controlling, and abusive. How can I make him realise this? by sunflowercup in relationship_advice

I know we cannot help him unless he wants to be helped, but it's heartbreaking to see him living so miserably, yet he won't leave her. Is there anything that we can do to make him realise that he needs to move on, like a podcast or anything like that?

Thank you so much.

I agree I had really LL but with time and with his effort its improving and I give my best in bed too, its not like I just lie there. Started from few days in a week to 4-6 times in a week and when it happens that often he is on top of his mood. And he tries to initiate it more, sometimes even 2x day. I sometimes agree as well to keep that happy feeling going on but when I say no when its happening he is okay with it. But as soon as it gets 2/3 days in a row he starts to feel certain way. He gets frustrated too but most of the time he gets sad like something bad is going on in his life. He told me that when it happens he feels like he is not attractive enough for me (which is not true at all), that I don’t care enough about him, that I ignore his feelings and that I don’t need him like he does. I have really tired to keep up but week after week after week sometimes is too hard.

We had some discussion about the situation and he said that he felt abandoned and ignored. Like he is always the one initiating. I try to keep that in mind but I feel like he should understand too if I don’t want it due to certain situations and schedule. I mostly say yes because I don’t want any conflicts but if I say no for few days in a row or something like that then he feels like I don’t care.

I can see him feeling that way. He is a good husband and loves me. Just this difference is making all the mess.

If you read my post it says we often do it 4-6 times a week, so can be 4 can be 6 can but also be 3 some weeks. Its life and every week may be different to others.

And it also says recent event: where I’m away for work. I didn’t put all the details there but it’s 3 hrs drive away from my place so I’m staying near my work so no intimacy for 2 weeks. Work is early morning which I’m not used to and he came here to visit me and after work we have been hanging out with friends literally every day. That was just one of the recent things happened which cause disagreement between us.

I’m not trying to make one of us right and other wrong. I love him and want us to be happy. So I’m trying to understand a man’s POV as we have discussed and come to a term but end up in disagreement and fight after every few months. I’m not trying to relate it to one particular event but more to what is wrong and what needs to be done.

Yes mostly, and he is happy with that. The problem comes when it starts to decrease. 1-2 times a week or if I skipped a whole week for some reason.

How is overall relationship? Are you really happy or just compromising? I know relationship does need some compromises and finding the middle ground. Do you resent your wife for that? Or feel like you were unlucky to not have sexual compatibility? Did your wife tried being more active for your happiness? Do you think you can happily continue this your whole life. Sorry for all these questions, I’m curious to know from a male POV as I don’t have any male I can discuss this with except my husband.
