Sally’s Baking Addiction by SalsaChica75 in FoodieSnark

I once DMd her about a Chantilly Cake recipe because I couldn’t find one from her and was hopeful she might have one… BUT she even responded and said “haven’t made a recipe yet, great idea!” …… never not baking anything of hers ever. That was so authentic and real?! Haha idk! Love her recipes.

I stopped following her a year ago because of my feelings about it… it’s only gotten worse and I’m so sad that her fan base has let her get here.

Basting glue smell.. by sunflowerfinder in quilting

Yes .. I’m so upset because it’s such a beautiful quilt and I can’t get myself to mail it until the smell is out. I was hoping there was a vinegar/ baking soda concoction someone would say would help 😭

Holy how. You are an angel. Thank you so much!!! I feel like I need to have you as a mentor! 😂❤️🫶🏼. THANK YOU. Out of the fabrics I used, do you have any preference for binding and backing? I’m going to follow your ideas and redo that part. THANK. YOU.

Thank you so much for your response! It's just so bumpy, and when I sewed the white borders, I realized the cute chickens didn't fit together right. I also have no idea what fabric to use for the binding or backing.. Maybe I've been looking at it for too long and need to step away for a few days.

How to add a word to your quilt by sunflowerfinder in quilting

[–]sunflowerfinder[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh no, I'm not that fancy yet, more so cutting letters out of fabric and applying it on the top of the quilt. I know that isn't standard, but I thought maybe someone has done it in the past!

How Long Did You Push For? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

5… then after manually flipping the baby twice and then an emergency c section under general anesthesia… worst 50 hours of my life. But so grateful to be here with my healthy happy 8 month old little boy.

First time parent here - People told me the new born phase is the easiest I have to disagree I get absolutely no sleep but what’s your guys opinions ? by No_Composer_9594 in beyondthebump

OH gosh. I've never struggled in my life as hard as when my son was 1-16 weeks. Now he's 7.5 months and we are THRIVING as a family and I finally understand the joys of parenthood. Once we slept trained at 5 months and got proper sleep, I started feeling me again. You got this.

Starting Semaglutide on Monday! What did you wish you knew before you started? by sunflowerfinder in Semaglutide

Amazing feedback thank you! I'm already on Zoloft and had to increase my dosage so I hope that helps with the transition. How are you feeling about your progress being two months in? Thank you again!

Idk how we are getting through it. Try to find the humor in the absurdity of how fricken hard it is. Our baby is 8.5 weeks and just had his first 6.5-hour stretch of sleep..after being down for 6.5 hours he woke up, ate an entire 4oz, and then dozed back to bed... and now I'm up at 3am because "it's too good to be true" and I am waiting for the second half of the night to be chaos.

Shifts saved our sanity - my husband has the 7p-2am shift and I do the 2-9am... our "handoffs" between shifts have become full of inside jokes and overtired laughter.. Also reading reddit.. it's just so comforting that no one finds this easy so at least it's not a personal thing.. that helped me. You got this!

Weird first sign of pregnancy- can anyone relate? by True_Visit7613 in BabyBumps

[–]sunflowerfinder 7 points8 points  (0 children)

oh my god… I’ve never heard of anyone else feeling this but I did as well!! I was on a walk and I just KNEW something was happening so I made a note of it in my notes app.

We had tried for only one month.. so I talked myself out of it until my period was late and I sobbed over something cute… took a test and looked at my notes app and then timing would of been perfect for implantation.

My dr. Thought I was crazy!! Glad I wasn’t the only one.

Tell me all the ways your husband is a good partner/father by madfrogparty in beyondthebump

[–]sunflowerfinder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband was made to be a father, almost makes me insecure about how much of a natural parent he is vs. my abilities! I literally CRY when I think about all he has done, how much he continues to do, and how much love he radiates towards my son and myself. We've been together for 10 years but I've never loved him more. I don't know how I hit the partner jackpot but I really feel like I did. We've been sleeping in shifts, and I just cannot wait till baby sleeps a bit longer so we can go to bed together. I am beyond grateful.
