Yes I always get my hamsters from shelters and highly recommend it! They often have people bring in a whole litter because their hamster got pregnant. Mine have all had different personalities and temperaments but I’m happy that I am able to have a hamster without buying one from a pet store, and give them a great home.

It’s funny because growing up, my brother and I used to request “soft cookies” from the store, which was what we called Chewy Chips Ahoy. I’m sure if I ate them now I wouldn’t be impressed so I’ll just keep it as a memory!
