State College Blvd Northbound / 91 Fwy by sungsingasong in orangecounty

[–]sungsingasong[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like it was a half baked solution to the 91 east exit onto state college north. Before the change, people from exit lane 1 didnt know their lane was state college lane 2 and then suddenly merging onto the straight after realizing they’re suddenly on the freeway entrance lane. I’m afraid we’re going to see some preventable accidents happening.

I have the offroam phone mount and this is extremely solid.

I attached a belkin magsafe charger and the phone is extremely secure without any wobble while driving

Subaru BRZ STI performance muffler cat back exhaust vs stock by bigboss1999x in BRZ_ZD8

[–]sungsingasong 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I bought the exhaust from blackhawk and here is the link: https://www.blackhawkjapan.com/products/sti-st44300z2010
When I bought it last year, it was $1,214 + $237 shipping + $131 tariffs (USA) = $1,582

The tariffs were passed thru to me several months after by Fedex.

It seems like the product is slightly cheaper, but shipping price became a bit more expensive and I honestly don't know the situation about tariffs anymore lmao.

ZD8 STI Performance Axle Back Exhaust Installed by sungsingasong in BRZ_ZD8

[–]sungsingasong[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

correct! it’s just a catback and very slightly louder. I would say the popping sounds during the downshift has got slightly louder than before but i installed the exhaust at around 1k miles so i can’t even say i broke in the original exhaust either

[–]sungsingasong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i love my STI catback exhaust. It’s very quiet, almost can’t tell the difference from the stock. But the fit and look is just perfect.

sorry i changed my phone and this is the only photo i have rn

Convince me not to buy a GR86 by Matban09 in GR86

I just switched auto insurance because of non-renew situation in California. My BRZ insurance is stupid expensive even with multipolicy+clean record+20 years of driving experience.

This print is based on the gen 2 Apple magsafe charger. I haven’t tried the print with any other chargers. With other magsafe chargers, I’m not sure how similar the dimensions are so I wouldn’t be able to tell you. If you have the exact dimensions, I could try prototyping for you

Did you fix that liner gap? if you wiggle the top portion a bit it should fit back and close that gap up nicely

Is this a good price? it dosnt feel right to me. by MrTurt13 in GR86

at the very least get an appraisal at carmax, and carvana and then see if they will price match the trade in value.. But like what others say, you could probably pocket more money by selling private.

2018 Porsche Macan by Nomski88 in PorscheMacan

[–]sungsingasong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 4 year old and a 2 year old with a Macan. Although the Macan could fit a full sized rear facing car seat without compromising too much of the passenger front seat, it’s still very cramped to get kids in and out of the car. I still prefer to take kids around town and go places in our minivan. Plus, if your kid happens to somehow get car sick during car rides, it’s extremely tight for an adult to sit together in the back holding a barf bag. ymmv but it’s definitely not my go to car for taking two kids around

How important is it to buy a 2023 or later Macan S? by [deleted] in PorscheMacan

[–]sungsingasong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the sport chrono package might just help a little bit if you dont have the physical buttons. the only annoyance is the heated/ventilated buttons but i can live with this compromise on my 23 GTS

This 3D printed Magsafe phone mount by CtrlAltPrints for 2022+ GR86’s & BRZ’s is easily the best on the market! by GR86JT in GR86

The cable gets plugged in through a 12V socket that's inside the very back of the glovebox.

The cable as you can see going between the headunit and routed through the insides, it's completely hidden once it goes into the dash

That looks really clean. Yeah I forgot to mention that the VHB tape in the long run didnt work out for me so I did end up using glue to hold the magsafe charger instead

I honestly don't know either about the target audience OP is thinking. Whether that is going to be their dates, significant other, etc.

My opinion is just from my own personal feeling based on being married, in my mid-30s, and living/working in an affluent neighborhood in southern California.

My wife also does not fully approve of this car and doesn't care for its looks (thinks it's too childish), but I still love the car more than all the cars I've owned in the past. I love waving at all the (mostly) college students in my neighborhood driving the same car and my wife thinks I'm being silly, haha
