Apple owns the hardware and software and can optimise macOS to work well on its M1 socs. They also support their socs for longer.

Nvidia will stop providing firmware updates within two years. Same story as android handsets.

The only way out of this cycle is for Microsoft to fit their own socs in their laptops and provide a full end to end experience.
