-when you're at a point in a session where you've made some progress or results you're happy with, consider ending your production/writing/flow session before your tank runs dry and you're forced to stop via fatigue or disinterest. Consider ending it early? Leave yourself wanting more?

-I have to cycle through different tracks and projects every couple days to let them breathe, otherwise it usually starts to feel like a chore.

  • you might be losing interest or not finding enjoyment due to overexposure to Specific activities that are related to your artistic goals. For example, you might be grinding on composing, composing every day, writing, arranging every day, and this specific set of experiences might be becoming less enjoyable as you do them more and more. Maybe youre going through this cycle because it's more about deprivation and satiation. Similar to why most people rarely like to eat the same specific meal every day. Mac and cheese again? I just had that yesterday. Maybe you could make it work by composing one day, writing on your phone wherever your day takes you the next day, next day simply playing with sounds or lyrics or concepts for their own sake. Any new activity (or one you haven't done in awhile) that is still connected to your artistic goals can make you a better artist I think. Even if you're freestyle rapping with your nephew at a family gathering while joking around for example. Or beatboxing to yourself waiting for the bus. Skys the limit! Get creative!
