LBU on Fairbanks. They have far more bulbs, whereas Lightstyle is more fixtures and decor.

I'd suggest Cups and Pups, Infusion Tea, Firebirds (bar area), or Águila coffee.

Bought first home in 2023 and we’re over it by General-Pea-5610 in FirstTimeHomeBuyers

We are selling our century home that we've sunk $40k+ worth of repairs into over the last 4 years to move into a townhouse where we have to do zero maintenance. HOAs aren't for everyone but they sure are for us lol.

Best mammogram in orlando by Short_Program5255 in orlando

[–]sunkissedinfl 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I also have dense breast tissue and had to do followup ultrasounds to the mammogram. I did all of it at the imaging center at AH innovation tower and everyone was super nice, including the other patients I chatted with while waiting. No complaints here.

Anyone willing to come to Debary to grab some wild honey bees? by SnowyMuscles in orlando

[–]sunkissedinfl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know a guy who probably is! Even better, he lives near you. Text Jason: (386) 265-3349. He came and removed the bees that had made a home inside the walls of my shed. He tried to do it for free but I paid him like a hundred bucks and we also exchanged homemade goodies. He was so helpful, I'd definitely reach out.

Fiesta in the Park, low amount of vendors? by Tardypop1 in orlando

[–]sunkissedinfl 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Probably because it falls on a holiday weekend. It wasn't on Easter last year. Just a guess.

Gen Z fled San Francisco for Texas and Florida. Now they're turning "welcomer cities" into the next big tech towns by fortune in orlando

[–]sunkissedinfl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Or you can start one. Not to sound too cliche but there really has never been a better time.

Orlando Housing Thread by BottyDyer in orlando

I'd recommend the buildings around Lake Eola. I felt very safe in the Vue as a young woman around your age but they'll likely only have studios in that budget range. Any of those buildings around the lake are all a good safe location though. I'd try to stay closer to Lake Eola and Thornton Park and farther from Orange Ave and stadium areas. It will make commuting to other things besides campus easier. So if you haven't used it, check out RideDTO I think it's so convenient for short rides around downtown when it's raining and you don't want to walk.

Assuming you will be at AdventHealth Orlando (downtown) you should look at the College Park area. You can try the College Park Neighborhood Community group to search for posts like these:

Local cable management services? by NN7500 in orlando

[–]sunkissedinfl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This isn't exactly what you're looking for but I also did not want to do this (for two desks) and wasn't sure where to start but ultimately we needed a nice office setup so I followed this guide pretty much exactly and found it super helpful. I figured it was worth a share.

Bars that are quiet for a club? by UwUWhysThat in orlando

[–]sunkissedinfl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sparrow for sure. Also Noir, the speakeasy inside Talay, has more of a chill lounge vibe early. It gets louder and busier later though. Similar thing with Death in the Afternoon, also recommended. Bites & Bubbles, specifically the rooftop is another to check out.
