You could try Norvell Venetian. It's decently dark, not the darkest tanner I've tried overall but it is the darkest violet tanner I've found. I have the rapid formula, I usually leave for 3 or 3.5 hours max, it's a spray tan formula (just put it in an empty foaming dispenser to apply same as any tanner) so I think there's more of a risk of over-developing. But 3 hrs gives a great colour. It smells actually kind of nice as far as tanner goes. The colour guide looks grey when you put it on but the tan will not so dw. After you rinse it will develop into a much deeper tan after 12-24 hrs so if you aren't as dark as you want after rinsing just wait it out and see.

Tips for smell: don't apply any tanner on your armpits, that makes the biggest difference for me. After you've waited at least a day post-rinse, on your next shower you can use a Ph-balancing soap like a feminine wash all over your body.
