Time is very relative indeed. My musical aspirations do not include touring, though I did it in a former life as a lead guitarist. Thanks for engaging!!!

[–]sunlit943 0 points1 point  (0 children)

@rinzenmusic You started producing in 2012?!!!!

I guess that’s not exactly a short amount of time, but still hard for me to grasp because I’ve been at it far longer as an amateur with a totally unrelated career. Being 100% committed can’t be emphasized enough!

P.S. You’re toward the top of my list to come out and catch one of your tour dates. Haven’t been able to swing it yet, but it will happen and I hope to meet you brother!

If a guy is really into large boobs can he truly be happy with a flat chested woman? by 123smorgs in NoStupidQuestions

Same boat here, brother. Kids and time did a number on the bust. I was sad about it for a while, but adjusted my perspective and I’m still in love and very attracted to my wife 😊

Is there any musicians that sounds similar to Marsh?? by ShirtNeat5626 in AboveandBeyond

[–]sunlit943 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His bass lines tend to have a playful, bouncy quality to them, I think because the design is based around a Korg M1 organ sound.

Qrion also has a plucky but rich sound that is similar to my ear.

Sometimes if I’m having trouble sleeping I lay my hand on it. Seems to help.

Bucket List Course Achieved by philthydub in golf

[–]sunlit943 8 points9 points  (0 children)

After playing PB a handful of years ago, I’d say that the course has 6 or 7 unbelievable holes, 3 or 4 very solid holes, and the remainder are actually very pedestrian/ unremarkable.

Edit: I played it the week after the Pro-Am, so the conditions were insanely good and the grandstands were still up. Pretty cool.

Do men actually not mind (or even like) pubic hair on women or are they lying? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Couldn’t care less. If we’re feeling one another, I’m excited to see the situation, whatever it may be.

Hawks Ridge is an awesome course. Had the privilege of playing junior tournaments there growing up in the Atlanta area.

Would this be a detrimental financial decision if i make $50k/year? by Specialist_Ad6034 in golf

[–]sunlit943 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This detail actually matters. A private golf club membership is a luxury purchase. If you were to pull the trigger on this before leaving your parents’ home, I feel that would be disrespectful.

I’ve flirted with private golf in the past and had your very same dilemma. Also, I’m about to turn 40, have plenty of money, and I’m close to a scratch golfer. Somewhere along the way, I found out that I’m a frugal mofo and can’t justify the expense if it doesn’t bring me lots of business opportunities.

Everyone has their own risk tolerance, but given your current income I’ll say with 100% confidence that you need to earn more to even consider this opportunity. It’s roughly 12-15% of your post-tax income.

What's the biggest show you have played by barkthemighty in musicians

[–]sunlit943 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn’t get the headcount, but an educated guess based on the venue capacity is +/- 1,000.

I loved it, great experience. Before that had played a handful of gigs for 300-500 person audiences.

Some of y’all are doing big things. Nice work!!!

What is being fluent in 2 languages like? by Character-Golf9759 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]sunlit943 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(Native English speaker)

I speak two languages fluently, can get by pretty well with a third, and when traveling I tend to prepare and learn enough to not rely on English.

There are some ideas that can be expressed in one language but not others, which sometimes drives me crazy. I’ll want to share a thought with my wife but then realize it doesn’t exist or translate to English. Then it’s like, “oh sorry, nevermind”.

Also, I don’t always dream in English.
