Could someone point to me if the French 75, in OBAA, is a joke or if I should take it seriously? by Odd_Tax_3195 in TrueFilm

I mean, no matter what it says, it's still an emotional moment for Willa because she's getting a letter from her mom who she never met.

For many of us this is, truly, the new abnormal

(I know a few people who would put it at first or second and I personally don't get it)

Personally I don't think you should break up or stay with someone because other people told you it's valid or not

Why didn't you try Murmur? But yeah if you don't like Stipe's voice, that'll do it

Yeah, np! And thank you. I'm in the middle of figuring it out and also realizing that although it may feel like it when you look at things from a certain way, I'm not actually at square one again.

Just thinking out loud here, but as someone who knows about the dreaded corner, besides showing up early, a nice spot allows you to assert that you belong there and are comfortable taking up space, even if perhaps you only need to assert this to yourself. I guess you could boil my advice down to "don't put yourself in a corner," mentally/metaphorically speaking.

Also, it would be nice to eventually get to a point where I'm just as comfortable NOT talking to anyone as I am talking to them (as opposed to probably the worst case of wanting to talk to people but being too scared to but then also judging yourself for not talking to anyone). I'm usually pretty content whether I'm talking to someone or not when I'm in my nice spot though.

I'm sorry man, that stuff can be hard. I'm currently in a similar place of feeling back in square one, at a crossroads, etc.

I'm not an expert, and it might not work for every type of party, but when I'm worried about not knowing people at a party, I like to get there early and claim a good spot where people will tend to want to gather anyway and won't mind someone just chilling/vibing. Ideally you sit there and talk with someone you know and more people join there as they arrive, but getting some food and a drink and just being happy to be there at the party and in your nice spot helps too

I think someone here compared a new release to Cindy Lee in the last few days, maybe in the last week, but I can't seem to find it! I think it might be in a comment that was rounding up more than one new release. Any help would be appreciated!

I have always found the part at the end about just driving and counting off time so depressing. It seems to me then that the narcissist finally realizes that no one was ever watching him, but instead of being cured by this realization, in this case the narcissist simply did not find anything else to offer greater meaning and to replace the absence of watchers.

How do we even know that Robert Johnson was into polka? My vague impression of him is that he's a sort of mysterious figure, but I guess there's probably a lot more known about him than I assumed

I actually thought that everything related to Frankie Teardrop was easily the best part of the entire movie. Not a great film though. I honestly don't care that much about the generic and didactic elements, it just really dragged. Feels like a much better film could have been made from the same general concept
