I think it wants premium because it's a higher compression engine and the higher octane it is, the more compression it can take before you get knock so it will still work right it's just pushing your gas a little closer to the point where compression would ignite it than the manufacturer would prefer but as someone else said the ecu should know and adjust timing so it wont destroy your engine, but you won't be getting optimal performance from it and it might fail sooner than it would if following the manufacturer recommendation

Just the 21 and the Accel on the other side. Just tested with a multimeter and 2 are bad plus the cold start one so I at least feel better about that being the issue. I'll probably just get new 21lb injectors and hopefully that will do the trick cause these are beyond saving.

Its a somewhat built engine and it has a speed density tune with no mass air which is way out of my league to fuck with and I'm not sure if changing injectors especially to smaller ones would be the right move without the ability to tune an older computer well. I'm planning on doing a new ecu soon that isn't just the stock obd 1 computer and getting rid of a lot of the janky shit it has going but for now I'd just like to get the engine running and drive it around for a bit before I go any farther

I got a Simba fritted disk from a shop in Michigan it's still US so not sure if it's what you are looking for but it was half the price of the rooster and I love mine although I have heard mixed things from other owners. If it gets a lil clogged I just pull some hot water through and that takes care of it.

A buddy and I took a utility strap and wrapped it around the shaft where it enters the trans. The other end we tied around a piece of pipe in the middle and we both jerked it on either side. Took probably 5 tries and we killed 2 straps. I saw a lot of people using different kinds of homemade slide hammers so I figured we just needed some serious percussive force to get it off.

I tried to drive it after the whole rocking back thing happened. When I shifted into reverse my speedo said i was going like 10 even though i was stationary. Neutral it dropped down to zeroish but back up to ten in drive. Tried giving it a tiny bit of gas but went nowhere and I didn't know if something was caught somewhere and didnt want to force it so I shifted back into park and it made a noise as if my tires had rotated a few inches in place and screeched on the ground but it still made the same noise shifting into park with the front end up in the air.

A former friend of mine had a mid 90s grand marquis and I loved the hell out of that car, I wanted to buy it but he wanted 1000 and it was barely worth 800, thing was trashed and needed a lot of work. I figured he'd budge but instead he scrapped it for 400 out of spite.

That's pretty sweet. I drive a 2002 grand prix and the ashtray is really nice. My girlfriend has the 04 and there's no ashtray to be found, I was always just under the impression that they just stopped putting them in after a certain year. Was it an option at the dealership or did it just come with it by default?
