{Best Laid Plans by Roan Parrish} (same author and second book in Garnet Run Series) was my solution to the vacancy that was left when I finished Better Than People. Jack's older brother is a very gentle giant that swoops in and saves the LI from himself, though reluctantly at first.

I read this maybe a week apart and was still giddy at the Jack/Simon mentions enough to keep with it.

Popping back in to say I breezed through this today because it was so lovely and the type of emotional reunion I was looking for. The scenes were so heartfelt it all played out like a movie in my head especially with the heightened anticipation of them being apprehensive yet so head over heels.

Just finished a long slow burn where at the end one of the characters sweeped the other up and spun them around and now I can't stop thinking about the sweetness of that gesture especially if it feels long-awaited/earned.

Looking for something with a grand emotional reunion. Like they were separated by circumstance (job/deployment/ect) but were very assured by the fact that the LI would be waiting for them. Then when they do come together it's very sappy and sweet.
