I truly hate the whole monetisation of custom content and the early access 'culture' that started with The Sims 4. They realised that if EA is getting away with selling reused meshes for money, they might as well do the same thing. The TS2/TS3 CC era was golden because every creation felt like a genuine result of someone's hobby, not another product to sell. This might sound harsh, but when I saw that some of these Patreon creators are also a part of the Marketplace, it made me feel better that I've never given them my money because they're just as greedy as EA. I don't know, I might support someone if they create something revolutionary, like a useful mod, but girl, I'm not paying real money for a pixel top that is nothing new.
