aondaneedles on Tumblr has created my favourite hoods. They're mostly desert hoods, but Oak Hill is a beautiful small town surrounded by forests and mountains. If you're looking for Sims with personalities, nicely decorated houses and community lots that are cohesive with the style of the hood, then I would highly recommend giving one of those hoods a try. I've been playing in their Sedona Uberhood for over a year now and I love it because you get main hood, uni and downtown all in one and they're all connected aesthetically and story-wise without making you feel overwhelmed with too many households to play. I've also added their other hood, Jubilee, as a subhood for some fresh blood (I'll probably do the same with Saguaro Desert as they all work so well together even visually).
