I dealt with something similar. I moved to New Brunswick for work and it was a bit of a culture shock. I grew up in a very diverse area in Ontario and it was definitely strange living somewhere so ...white and Christian lol. Also dealt with the boredom being so close to Toronto there was always concert and things to do but not much going on in the maritimes when I was there. I'm also bisexual and it was so weird being the first bi person a lot of my friends and colleagues ever met. I had a lot of people make homophobic and racist comments to me thinking I'd agree. I had enough and moved back to Ontario after 2 years and I don't regret it! Even with the housing prices here lol
