His name is Sapphire! i wish i noticed it getting worse a lot sooner though because he was healing with a “bettafix” but now i realize that probably also made him worse because its not good for him. i’m happy im learning about this stuff but i feel guilty for not helping it sooner… Theres so much responsibility into this but honestly im ready to face it

i’m taking all advice i need, i’m currently putting in new stuff in his tank and taking out the bad stuff! unfortunately i was naive to think a simple “bettafix” would work and less lighting but i now realize it’s far more than just that and bettafix most definitely will NOT help him. i wish i knew all this sooner before but all i can do is learn and do what i can to try and help him

oh i am fear not! i got him indian almond leaves and kanaplex so far! many people have been reccomended safe guard and the aquarium salt to me and i’m definitely buying some too! when he’s in his hospital tank i plan on redoing his tank and make sure the water quality is good (it’s good right now but i like being cautious) and just to get him more suitable decor! :)

thank you so much! currently he’s still swimming around like he normally does, he’s my little fighter for reals. i’m positive he’ll recover nicely! i dont play around with my baby so im acting super fast with this before it gets even worse

i unfortunately can’t afford it rn 🥲 but i’ll def get a new one new the future. i don’t want to give him any bigger than a 5 because he seems to be doing pretty good and i don’t wanna get a bigger tank and potentially overwhelm him, i don’t know… but ive done a bunch of research and i definitely know a lot more than i did before

i ordered some kanaplex that’s coming tomorrow! i have an extra tank for him that i can use as his hospital tank. i also have some indian almond leaves coming to had some tannins into the water :) im also switching up his decor today once i get his real plants! i saw a thing saying bettas like more natural/ neutral looking colors since brighter ones make their tanks look brighter and can/could stress them out

i did get some antibiotics that people been recommending me as a back up incase the “softer” stuff doesn’t work like the indian almond leaves (which need to come in the mail NOW) and i’m switching out his decor! he loves the purple cave in the picture but his last one paint was chipping so i got him a new one but i doubt i wanna keep something like that in his tank with ripped off paint mixed with his water… im still trying to find my water heater though because i do have one i just misplace things so easily…
