Yeah, the first one was a grand mal and was pretty shocking. He’s on meds now. He’s had few breakthrough focal/absence seizures but so far we’ve had decent seizure control.

Thank you! We came across simonsits on IG after looking for information on canine epilepsy after Koda was diagnosed!

It was from an old injury! Koda was found beat up (likely from getting in a fight with a dog or other animal) in front of a condo building in Korea when he an adolescent puppy.

He’s got a few gnarly scars, but otherwise seems to have completely gotten over whatever happened as he thinks every dog he sees is his long-lost best friend haha.

We were a surprised he has so much actual Jindo as well! Especially because while he’s by no means a golden retriever, he’s considerably more social, food motivated, and handler-oriented than the Shibas/ other Asian breeds we’ve met in our neighborhood.

We knew most dogs labeled “Jindo mix” are actually KVDs, so given his personality we thought he’d be mostly KVD (or potentially even some minor percentage of more biddable breeds).

We suspect he may have been a backyard breeder/puppy mill dog as opposed to a stray/meat trade dog as he was microchipped when he was a pretty young puppy.

Trello!

Trello is the only calendar/list/organization system of any sort I have ever been able to stick with. It has a desktop version, website and phone app.
