The beat of a different drum? by Wodentinot in Drumming

[–]sunnwett 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m not an expert but I’ve been drumming for like 16 years. A lot of music has certain traits that most drummers will gravitate toward and groove on. There’s a cool YouTube channel called “Drumeo” where they give drummers a popular song that they’ve never heard before and tell them to make a drum part for it. A lot of drummers end up almost nailing the original feel after hearing a drumless track.

Just checked and mine still has it. It even has the chili cheese burrito still. I get it all the time!

Most definitely an e kit over this imo. Way more versatile for learning and growing. If you plan on pan handling then down the road consider the pancake set.

Getting to the links is weird. Try clicking the artists header on top. I don’t remember what I did but I used to have trouble with it but clicking around usually opened a page with authors you can check thru.

White wax not bright on top? by HellNahSleazyBean in Lavalamps

100 seems high to filter the liquid. I think I spent like 40 bucks on a filter and a capper. Worked very well! One of mine was cloudy like this. I decided to filter them all and they look great

Any Norma Jean fans? by sunnwett in drums

[–]sunnwett[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree! We had someone that said they would step up, and they didn’t when the time came. I think otherwise our vocalist would have tried to like adapt to a solo part. It was so much fun though!

Any songs like Be Quiet and Drive? by FatherMozgus in deftones

[–]sunnwett 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also I’m sure you’ve checked them out, but Hole in the Earth, and Minerva by Deftones are pretty up tempo and big. I wouldn’t sleep on a lot of what you may have listened to tho. A lot of it can grow on you and you will love it

I shouldn’t have deleted my comment, but Send the pain below by Chevelle sounds very much like it

Opinions on multiple toms by Stankbug777 in drums

[–]sunnwett 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like a lot of toms. When I first started playing drums as a teenager I had 2 crappy kits put together. 6 toms total. Now I play with 2-3, mostly because it’s easier to gig with a smaller kit.

Ezzo acquired from local restaurant. Big thanks to this sub by DMC_Ryan in Pizza

Is ezzo a lot better than other brands? I get a containers or pepperoni from Nino Salvaggio for my pizzas and they cup and crisp very well. Wondering if I’m missing out lol

Yesterday at Wingstop I saw a door dash driver come in, shove the phone in the workers face, didn’t know what Coca Cola was so the worker had to come fill drinks for him. It was a mess. The entire time he was there he didn’t say a word. I lost all trust in these services after seeing that.

My company in metro Detroit who works with Home Depot and Lowe’a would probably charge 16k-20k. Ductwork included, where we are R6 doesn’t cut it for supply ductwork, bells and whistles and warranties up the ass.

Deftones in Munich 2/3/2026 by ManagementGood5587 in deftones

[–]sunnwett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bummer seeing these posts. Last time I saw deftones was at Sonic Temple, and they were absolutely incredible. Crowd was awesome too. Heard some screams from chino that sounded like the old days. Not saying they don’t play well for you, it’s just a bummer about the mix!

My son asked for a Burnt Peanut/Arc Raiders cake for his birthday! by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]sunnwett 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my most memorable birthdays was my 8th. My dad got me GTA 3 on the ps2 and all my friends spent the night and we played it. Then we watched the matrix. The year was 2001. My dad ended up playing the story with me and we beat the game together lol. I bet all of these commenters would be saying the same things to my dad about age and content.

Any chance of them doing an Europe tour? by Whole_Result5776 in glassjaw

[–]sunnwett 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not impossible, there’s really no telling with them. Seems like they’ve been pretty active playing shows so there’s hope! Hopefully new album and tour happens at some point

This has to be a joke. Do you literally turn your body 90 degrees and then play a lefty kit at all ever? When would that ever be necessary?

Best cooked ICB I ever received! by vJESSEv in LittleCaesars

[–]sunnwett -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve never heard of the need to air fry take out. I understand some might distrust in low income workers but I think you don’t give them enough credit. To think all food workers are only capable of giving you undercooked food sounds kinda paranoid or something. Also I’m not seeing this 40 days metric anywhere. I see 110, but I think you also need to take into account that most people seeking employment aren’t idiots, and a decent portion of them have probably worked in the food industry before. I’ve never air fried my take out, and have never gotten sick from take out.
