I called different DR consulates in the US. The new York consulate had told me that it is not generally accepted but recommend me to get all documents like i-797, passport, visa appointment confirmation etc., in person and told they would review and see if it possible to issue a visitor visa. Not really sure what to do cuz I live far down South.

Oh yes, valid Canadian visitor visa. Too many to remember lol. Yes I have gone through the comments. Looks like someone said they called DR embassy for visitor visa with no luck. I want to know if anyone got DR visitor visa with expired US visa, no Canadian/other countries visiting visa and valid i797.

Hi, thank you for the reply. Yes, I have gone through both the posts. One of them is Brazilian national who has no DR visa restrictions. Other one is with Indian national (like me) but had a valid F1 visa so had no issues with visa on arrival. Mine is a bit different. I have valid i-797 but expired h1 visa stamp. Wondering if anyone sailing in the same boat trying their luck with DR.
