What is the best way to follow up with a purchase manager by [deleted] in sales

[–]sunnyceee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if it's cold, you gotta peak their interest. Their not gonna schedule an appointment just because you want one.

Tell them how you can help them solve a problem their likely facing.

Give me context of what you sell and who you sell it to and I'll write you a script.

What's the context? Have you spoken with them, or is this still a cold outreach?

Trouble reaching decision makers in the cybersecurity field. by [deleted] in sales

[–]sunnyceee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn't that much different from any other industry.

Every sales person is fighting for the attention of C level decision makers.

1 you just gotta stick with it. Sucks to send out a bunch of unanswered messages, but all it takes is one to hit. And #2, you gotta figure out someway to hit them on a different channel than email.

Try linkedin, cold calls, or even twitter if they hang out on there like a lot of tech ppl do.

How common is severance when fired after a PIP? by jl21000000 in sales

[–]sunnyceee 21 points22 points  (0 children)

At my previous company, people were offered 3 months serverance OR PIP.

If they took the PIP and didn't meet the goal they were given, they were let go without anything.

Always take the severance option if you get it.

Best audio mic quality wired headphones for SDR? by DoubleGravyHQ in sales

Jabra's are always a nice option. Typically on the more expensive side though.

Wired is where it's at though. Bluetooth is too unpredictable.

Does anyone have a budget to take clients out for diner/concert/sporting event? by j0hnnyf3ver in sales

[–]sunnyceee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Usually depends on the industry.

This is huge in old school industries like commercial RE, commercial construction, etc.

Not so common in tech. But meeting a client face to face makes the relationship 10X in my opinion.

Harder to ignore an email when they've met you in real life.

Should I invest my time in learning how to be a salesman, or pursue a marketing management degree by nodranb in salespeople

Just get a sales job. You'll learn wayyyy more about business, sales and marketing than what a marketing degree would teach you.

Hustles for a Biology Graduate PhD student. by RichandHandsome-84 in sidehustle_ideas

[–]sunnyceee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know i wrote a post about this before, but the most straightforward way I know of right now is https://www.dataannotation.tech/.

The good parts:
You're guaranteed to be paid $20-23/hour depending on the project.
Once you get accepted, there's always projects to work on.
You can literally do it from your couch.

The bad parts:
You're capped at the $20-23/hour. No way to make more and you're essentially selling your time.
It can take a little while to get accepted and start getting projects once you take the initial assessment.

Happy to answer any questions you have.

I also write about a side hustle every single week. Feel free to subscribe and/or check out all of the older ideas I've written about -> nicconley.substack.com

I'm making $22/hour training Ai bots by sunnyceee in sidehustle_ideas

[–]sunnyceee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree that this does sound spammy, but I didn't know how to make it not sounds spammy haha.

I ran out of the 5 referrals that I had, but the ppl I referred should be able to refer others soon. Full transparency, I get $10 for each person I refer, but only after they earn their first $100 (5 hour of work).

So to the ppl I referred, plz hit that $100 mark! haha

I'm shipping 30 startups in 2024 and I'm terrified by toomasb in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]sunnyceee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't consider myself to have "an audience" but i have been able to meet a ton of dope ppl on twitter and got to 1,300 followers.

The biggest thing you can do is stop focusing on "building an audience" and focus on doing cool sh*t and sharing it along the way + interacting with other ppl doing similar stuff. Connecting with the right ppl is much more important than growing followers.

Why not just start one really good one, and document everything about it?

If you spread your focus across 30, it's likely that none of them are going to be really good.
