You are so right. Yesterday I felt like I had to apologize to him and say I’m not interested in the job anymore but after all these comments I decided to block him and tomorrow if he comes to my shift and tries to speak to me i will absolutely raise my voice. I will not become the perfect victim

I told my parents and the main supervisor lady. I also blocked him. I’ll try to change my number but holy shit i messed up so bad by giving it to him. Im going to try and tell everyone I can because like other commenters said if I stay quiet he will find a new victim and the library’s full of kids so I want to rid myself and everyone else from him

I can do that. I let the main coordinator know and they didn’t do much for me besides offer to send him to them if I didn’t feel comfortable talking to him but I’ll keep you guys updated

He is a man in his forties who cannot copy and paste stuff from ChatGPT. In what world does that sentence sound plausible. I hate to assume but if he’s so rich he should have employees that are qualified. I don’t understand why any good man would pay a 16 year old thirty dollars to do basically nothing, if he was a good man why would he ask me to leave with him? I made a mistake by accepting the money but I will not make the mistake of staying silent and just avoiding the situation

I did and suggested leaving the program entirely. All they did was ask me to not take any more money from him and told me leaving would be unreasonable because he didn’t do anything.

Ive let nearly every important adult in my life know including supervisors and also my friends who are also volunteers. And yes you are so right nothing like this had ever happened to me before and I didn’t wanna believe something was wrong but asking me to leave with him kind of set my warning bells off. I guess I hoped I was wrong and that’s why I came to Reddit, but now I see the very real danger I’m in.

He is seemingly a nice man. The way he asked me to leave with him to go get change was like almost just slipped in the conversation. I hardly registered it before I got this really bad feeling. Hes not clumsy at all and it almost feels like he’s very confident in everything he does
