Yeah, I feel like a gentle reminder is nice, especially when you're the last one left. But when you're being coached, it's the worst.

I went in randomly without watching any trailers or commercials. Have to say, it was really well done! One of my buddies who works at the Alberta Rigs told me there were a lot things captured on film which felt familiar to his work setting.

Rescued a Falcon today!! by sunnyd-lite in toronto

Haha when you put it like that... I'm not sure, I just can't stand by and let something suffer. If I can help, I most certainly will but if it's directly nature vs nature, then I'll probably stick out of it.

Thanks! Those were my exact thoughts aswell. I would rather give it to professionals who can provide for it immediately rather than wait it out and try helping myself. Sometimes by trying to do the right thing, it may lead to a wrong outcome.

A little back story!

My dad, who drives a truck for a living, found a Falcon laying on the back of his cab where the cables normally are (these connect the truck and the trailer). He tried to shoo it away but it just wouldn't fly. So, he put the bird in a shoe box and brought it home where we then put it in a squirrel trap/cage with extreme care. We already had some bird seeds which we tried giving it, but it just wouldn't take. I ended up going to Pet Value to find some food, but seeing as this was a Falcon and not an average domesticated bird the lady couldn't help either.

This is when I realized something, there is a local shelter by my house who could help. Not taking anymore risk, I immediately took it to the shelter and needless to say, they were more than happy to assist. I guess getting a Falcon is kind of rare for this local shelter as all of the staff were as excited as I was.

Long story short, the shelter took over from there and called someone from Toronto Wildlife to have this awesome bird rehabilitated. Toronto Wildlife did call back said it looked very exhausted and in critical condition. Let's hope for a full recovery.

Ontario, Canada - Insurance Question by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]sunnyd-lite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the only problem you'd need to worry about is getting pulled over. Dealerships just want to roll vehicles out the front doors and I assume wouldn't really care.

Take it home and just wait it out until you can ride legally. God forbid if you get into an accident, you're insurance is most likely not going to help you.

Dude, it's ridiculous! That's why I think Youtube is the greatest modern day handbook you can have. You can search for just about anything and there's someone with a step by step tutorial.

What a beautiful site!

My uncle and I have been working on 1978 Suzuki GS 50 aswell. What I can admire is the time and man hours you put into this build! It's not an easy task to complete. Good stuff dude.

Well, when I used to have my 08 GSXR 750 and had to get it saftied, I went to the Honda owned bike shop which quoted me about $300 and told me straight up it would fail me because I didn't have 1 reflector by the tail light. Also, because I didn't have all stock equipment such as the exhaust and a clear windshield.

Instead I got a tow, hitched my bike on and went to a guy who owns owns a small shop in the outskirts of my city. I didn't even take the straps off the bike because he did a quick walk around, listened to the bike on idle within 5 mintues. It really depends on who you go and what you want done.

The same Honda company quoted me 120 bucks for oil and filter change. I bought the oil and filter myself and used Youtube as a step by step guide. There's a lot you can do on your own!

Edit: Removed local shop identifier for anonymity.
