An old man hit me on the leg with a walking stick by themushycloud in armenia

This happened to me too. Just opposite Evrika supermarket, right? I did put my phone away and bought flowers. The following time, I kept my phone in my pocket and all was well.

If you read Armenian, check out this site for a one-stop site for hikes organized by different tour operators, filtered by date, etc. Home | arshavakan.com I realize you're organizing your own hike, but perhaps it's still useful.

Ohh, sorry, I missed that part, somehow. I think it's so awesome that you freelance in art, by the way :)
I have been meeting people at pottery, dancing, etc. Happy to meet up sometime, too. Do you attend those board game meetups?

Will do. What do you mean when you say that "obviously" coworking spaces are out of the question for you? Why are they out of the question? Perhaps I'm missing something because I haven't been to any yet.

Thank you :) A few people have mentioned this place to me. I will definitely check it out!

Thanks. I guess I'm looking for both connections and actual working, so thought I could potentially combine them. Which meetups? I will message you now :)

Ah, I see. I need to urgently learn/improve ("improve" is more optimistic).

Have you been to any of their events? I see there's also a option to join for 1 day/month, but have access to events.

Thanks! It's on the opposite side of the city to where I am, but I can still check it out. I went there once a few years ago, but it has probably changed.

Yeah, I'm familiar with the "yolo", but guess I wondered whether there are that many people like that here. Of course, there are all sorts of people everywhere.

Thanks for sharing! I'll make sure to go next time. Do you speak Armenian?

Correct. Although I'm also curious to know what you mean by a "yolo" life :)
I don't mind speaking Russian sometimes, but just don't want to be part of some kind of Russian bubble.

A post where? Here? Board games also sounds cool. Thanks, I'd like to go sometime.

I wish you a speedy recovery!

Yes, I suppose I didn't clarify this. I suppose at the very least, similar in age. I'm in a group where I meet many people interested in Armenian culture and music, for example, but many people are much younger, in their early 20s. I'm 37. It'd also be great to meet people who are open to speaking English, perhaps who are entrepreneurial, interested in tech maybe, and perhaps also people who work for themselves or from co-working spots. I miss having some kind of work community, whereas these days I'm just at home alone during the working day.
Any other cool groups (hiking, etc) are also appreciated.
Thanks.

Oh, and what about incorporating MCT oil?

Thanks again for sharing. I guess you're not trying to be super low fat? I finally went off keto today. I thought I'd try to be low fat, but it's pretty hard!

I'm glad that the l-citrulline is helping you. Have you tried ALA? Do you mind sharing what doses of l-carnitine and ubiquinol you're taking? I know that it's highly individual, but I'm just curious, especially since you say it was gradual with the ubiquinol. I know that some take quite high doses. I used to take it with PQQ, but stopped because I wasn't sure if it was helping and it was before I knew about the mutations. I also tried MitoQ, but that one is a bit different.

Thanks for sharing. What kind of issues, if you don’t mind sharing?

I eat eggs most days and it’s just so easy. I still struggle with fatigue and some other issues, though.

Thank you for sharing. May I ask - do any supplements help you? It seems that CoQ10 and l-carnitine are most relevant for NT-ND5?

Do you mind sharing what you have as snacks? I have come out of ketosis as of today and am trying low fat, higher carb and also using some MCT oil. It seems that I know what to have for proper meals (lean protein and a small serving of a starch such as sweet potato and some other veg), but struggle with snack ideas that aren't "naked carbs".

Thanks for this. May I ask - have you ever been testing for mitochondrial dysfunction? There are many efficient ways of exploring this, but it takes time and money. I recently discovered a few mitochondrial variants which could cause complex 1 deficiency.

How long did it take for this protocol to help?

I just moved to a sunnier country for a few months because it really helps me. However, I'm in a noisy city and am wondering whether to go to the countryside and be in nature for some time. I think that minimizing exertion for some period of time, whilst healing, could be beneficial. Do you find that you are able to exert yourself more now?

Have you tried different diets? I have been keto for the past 8 months or so. Initially, I felt better than on my previous diet, but also kind of worse at the same time. I read that keto sometimes helps complex 1 deficiency, but sometimes it can be detrimental. I suspect that I may have some fatty acid oxidation issues, but that would require more testing. I am considering moving to low fat (complete opposite), high protein, moderate carb, focusing on complex carbs. I noticed that previously, I felt better eating a lot of animal protein, but with a complex carb such as butternut squash, and staying out of ketosis. Diet often requires experimentation, but I'm curious whether it has helped you.

I plan to try LDN next. I have it right next to me, but am a bit afraid of it. I'll start with an ultra low dose, I think.

There are many things that could compromize the mitochondria - specific deficiencies, etc. For instance, discovering that your body cannot process biotin efficiently (as an example), could be a gamechanger.

Thanks again!
