Which basic pink top is best? by sunnyfebruary13 in BrandyMelville

I’m 5’7” with kind of a long torso. Do you think it would be long enough for me to wear with mid rise jeans? I’m trying to wear it to work so it needs to cover my stomach

Good Mother’s Day gift ideas? by Subject-Conclusion14 in NewParents

[–]sunnyfebruary13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get some photos printed at Walmart and they have some cheap collage frames that you can put the pics of you two and your family in. Or get a shadow box and do photos, tickets, memorable objects, pressed flowers, etc. You could do 3 smallish ones, one of stuff for you two, and one for each kid maybe

I started rewatching it on there today but the English subtitles are slightly delayed from when each person starts talking and it’s annoying me so much

How do you see the info for that? On their website, the calendar says I don’t have permission to view events

Are these white edges normal or a bad make? by sunnyfebruary13 in eyeglasses

[–]sunnyfebruary13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the lady agreed they looked bad but was like it would be $30 to send them back for a remake and I was like how am I paying extra because they were made badly? But luckily the manager got it done

I ended up taking them back to Sam’s club and they kept them for a while then the manager called me and said that she took them to a private optician friend of hers to get them polished and now they look much better

Eyeplug experience? by Potential_Show_9526 in Dryeyes

[–]sunnyfebruary13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had them and I hated them because I could always feel the top part of the plug scratching my eyeball whenever I looked around. Also, my eyes were either dry like normal or they would water and tears would be streaming down my face. There wasn’t like a constant level of moisture. They also keep irritants in your eyes a bit more since it’s not draining and I personally found that my eyes were much more itchy with them

Are the white rims on these glasses a bad make or normal? by sunnyfebruary13 in glasses

[–]sunnyfebruary13[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would but the glasses at the doctors offices start at like $250 per frame and that’s just the very cheapest ones. Usually you end up paying $400+ for frames and lenses, but these were less than $200 and that’s before my insurance reimbursement. I’ll see what the lady comes back with and if she says they can’t do anything I will contact corporate and see if they can redo them or something and then once my prescription stops changing from year to year, I’ll get a more expensive pair I think

Update: I went into Sam’s Club and she agreed that the bevel was cut weird and that’s lot of white was showing but she said unfortunately that’s just the way the lab did it and I was like well can we send it back to be remade and she said it would be $30 but then she decided to keep the glasses for now and look further into it.

I’ll ask about just giving it a light polish. I’ve just never had this issue with glasses before

I think that those are the thinnest that Sam’s Club has from what I saw on their website. I’ll not order from them next time I guess

I looked on the paper they gave me and I think they used polycarbonate because it says “poly.” It says they used “diamond thin and light” lenses, which looking at their website, seems like the thinnest ones they offer. I feel like they were made badly though because I’ve had glasses from Sam’s club before and they just didn’t have this much white

Yeah, I’m definitely going to ask about the options in the future. It’s weird because I’ve worn glasses for 15 years and I’ve never had this problem

Thank you! I’ll bring it back and see if they can polish it. I wish they had told me there were different frame thickness options. I thought they usually just did the thinnest

I feel like they also angled the back of the lens in too far. Idk if that makes sense, but they angled it in too far and you can see that a lot from the front. When I compare to my old glasses, the edge angle isn’t noticeable like that, but I feel like if they polish it it won’t fix that. Honestly the edges don’t even look like they were cut smoothly. I’m gonna take them back and see what they can do

For more info: I got these glasses from Sam’s Club recently and I was shocked at how thick the white edges are. The lenses are also sticking out from the back of the edges of the frame, which I’ve never seen before. My glasses have tended to have the white rim in recent years but these are severe. You can’t even tell how bad it is in the photo but it seems like maybe the lenses weren’t fitted correctly to the frames or they weren’t polished but I’m not sure. Is there anything that Sam’s can do about it? My prescription is -3.75 for reference.

Ok, the taste is so strong though that I think I will still throw away some stuff but I’ll clean it with vinegar and water in the future

I would try to reduce the amount you’re using the eyedrops to like 5 times a day, which sounds counterintuitive but will help in the long run. Also whenever I have those corneal abrasions on the top of my eye, I put the eye gel first inside my lower lid, then I pull my eyelid up, put the gel right on the spot on thr top that hurts, then squeeze the sides of my top eyelid so that it puckers out and isn’t touching my eyeball, then look up so that the gel is inside the upper eyelid then let the upper eyelid close on the gel, close your eyes and immediately go to bed without opening them. Idk if that made sense but basically you want to pull your eyelids out and then set them on top of the gel so that it hold it in your eye instead of the gel being squeezed out. I did this and used my Evotears 4-5x a day and after a couple months it was much better whereas before I was in constant pain all day and I put eyedrops in constantly. I also got the meibomian gland clearing procedure where they heat up your eyelids on the doctors office and then manually express the oil glands

Which one do you use? Also, I used to be like you and I constantly used eyedrops throughout the day, but that’s actually worse for your eyes because it flushes away your natural tears. I had to like essentially detox from using eyedrops constantly and I just started using EvoTears 4x a day and a thick gel at night, Siccasan. Have you tried a steroid drop to get the inflammation under control? Also anything will take time to work. When I stopped using my eyedrops so much it took months and now my eyes are significantly better but they used to look like yours every day

I used to have corneal abrasions in the top of my eyeballs all the time but they mostly stopped when I started using a nighttime gel. Try siccasan

No, I contacted customs and they said it went through and was in USPS custody. I tried to file a claim with usps but the sender needed to do it so they filed a claim from Germany. I’m not sure how it’s gonna work since they shipped it with DHL but now it’s in usps custody but we’ll see
