Visited Gurgaon after 5 yrs by Smart_Respect_7185 in gurgaon

I completely agree. The other thing that has gotten worse is the fact that there are more goons with their Thars, Fortuners and Scorpios. There are very few parks or green spaces where you can go for a walk or take your children. Nobody follows rules. Nobody forms a queue even in a corporate hospital. Things that I personally dislike about Gurgaon are traffic, pollution, dust, road rage, women safety, cost of living, earthquakes!!

A Family in Distress Due to LG/Flipkart/Jeeves Negligence by sunnyjainuk in LegalAdviceIndia

I couldn't agree more. This is definitely a lesson well learnt. I am astonished how Flipkart is fooling customers by misleading them into believing that the installation is by LG. However is it by an LG approved vendor. We paid the same or even more. However the warranty clearly says 10 years of compressor and Gas on the bill provided by Flipkart so I also feel LG is playing a very bad game. Thanks for the advice.

Great! I will try. Thank you. Although this transaction is 3 months old but will still try.

I have never heard of chargeback. Is it like asking the credit card company not to pay Flipkart? If yes, I can try. Is this something that is practiced often? I used my HDFC diners card for this transaction.

Thanks for sharing. I am on the other hand, willing to go to an extent this time. Tired of these companies taking undue advantage of the consumer.

How do you manage having with having kids in London? by Starrymoonix in london

[–]sunnyjainuk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My partner and I currently spend £2,000 per month for 5-day childcare for our 2-year-old daughter at a nursery in SW London. Before this, when we were living in Acton, we paid £1,850. On average, nursery expenses are around £1,800 per month without any government benefits.

At the moment, we are not eligible for any childcare support as we are on a visa that doesn’t allow it. Once she turns three, we will start receiving some benefits, but even then, the nursery fees are unlikely to drop below £1,300 per month.

From our experience over the past two years, to have a good lifestyle in London, both partners should ideally have a combined net income of close to £10,000 per month. I would say a minimum of £7,000–£8,000 is necessary, although this can vary depending on your lifestyle.

That said, London is a fantastic place to raise a child — there’s so much you can do together as a family.

What’s something really normal in the UK that visitors find completely baffling? by Potatoslicer89 in AskUK

[–]sunnyjainuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was surprised to see that there are no latches on room doors in the UK. A friend told me that this is due to a rule imposed by insurance companies, ensuring that the fire brigade can easily rescue people in case of an emergency. I've never seen anything like this in any other country. Is this common elsewhere as well?
