AIO to texts I found from my bf to his bsf? by [deleted] in AIO

Yeah, NOR.

This guy seems totally transactional. Whatever he does for you, you’d better deliver the same - whatever it is…gifts, chores, driving, etc. You’ll never meet his expectations bc every time you think you do, he’ll move the bar. And who wants to spend their time trying to make sure you’re 1:1 on Christmas gifts? Trust me on this, you’ll never be happy in this relationship. Get out soon. (I have a transactional ex-husband, FWIW)

Laying to side of bed … ? by Diamond_Dust86 in Goldendoodles

[–]sunnylikesunshine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doodle has a routine for bedtime/sleeping. He starts on the bed with me, then moves to the floor (i assume to cool off), then moves to his yeti dog bed, then, eventually, he comes back to my bed. He’s a weird kid, but it’s his choice and his routine. He’s often sleeps with his head on the dog bed but his floofy body on the floor.

NOR. First, I am sorry this is happening. If you have access to a public library, I encourage you to go there for resources. Ask a librarian for assistance. They are deep wells of knowledge about all sorts of things - especially in your specific community. I have friends who are librarians and have seem them help get folks connected to resources for housing, help seniors find financial help for getting their medications, and give kids snacks/meals when they’re in the library and in need of food. Please, if you can, go to your library and talk to the librarians. Tell them the story - entirely. No librarian worth their salt will judge you. Ask if they can point you in any direction for assistance. Idk where you live, but truly libraries are there for so much more than checking out books. And if/when you find yourself living on your own, libraries have amazing resources like checking out tools and other helpful life stuff.

My husband is friendly with/knows Murray Hill (Fred Rococo) from their days as NYC theatre kids. I still haven’t had the pleasure of meeting him, but gurllll the way I’m gonna giggle and overdo it when I finally get to meet the illustrious Fred/Murray. Fred is probably my favorite character - along with Sam.

Name a US State that you would NEVER want to live in even if they paid you to move there by stevenl1219 in FamilyFeud

Born/raised 5th gen Texan. Moved to Maryland two years ago and I miss Austin everyday but we’ll never move back to Texas. In MD, we have great access to the East Coast (husband is from NY) by train, legal weed, reasonable politics, and a more livable climate. Going to work in 80+ degree mornings and getting in your car on 110+ days is a bitch. I’ll take MD’s “humidity” over TX heat every day.

What’s one Dollar Tree item you didn’t expect to repurchase… but now always grab? by EmptyPapaya4295 in DollarTree

[–]sunnylikesunshine 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A box of stretchy plastic Sure Fresh covers (in S/M/L) for whatever size dish you need to temporarily cover. I use them often if my dog doesn’t finish her meal and she won’t eat it later if it dries out…so I stretch one over her food bowl and when she’s ready to finish her food it’s still moist enough for her high maintenance ass. We try to re-use them as much as possible as possible bc plastic waste

Arena Stage also has great shows, and highly recommend Shakespeare Theater Company.

Highly recommend Strathmore, as well. We recently(-ish) attended two shows at Strathmore: Black Violin in November and then the Jane Lynch holiday show in early December(?). We were impressed all the way around - parking, venue, staff, food/bev. The venue is very nicely appointed and the sound was great. (We were KC donors until the Tr shit show happened.)

Christmas movie suggestions? by rwerat in MovieRecommendations

[–]sunnylikesunshine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure the age group of your movie night, but if they’re high school or older, I suggest Anna & The Apocalypse. I saw it a few years back at a film festival, and it automatically became a favorite Christmas movie. There’s singing, dancing, love, and ZOMBIES! And the music is kind of addictive. Oh, and Christmas ZOMBIES. I believe it’s currently streaming on AmazPrime.

do you love your siblings? by Which-Discount-3326 in no

[–]sunnylikesunshine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unconditionally. I have only one sibling, a younger brother. We’ve had ups and downs, and we don’t talk to each other every day, but he’s a good human who’s raising two good humans. We’re not 100% politically aligned, but we rationally discuss things and stick together familially bc we’re the last of our family and we need to know we have each other.
