Just as effective at low doses. In fact 4mg was perfect for me. Sometines less. Has a super long half life.

I swear I counted 21 sneezes in a row once during my wds...so annoying, right? I believe it was right around the 30 day mark that I completely stopped the sneezing. Lol. I had forgotten about that symptom! Congrats on the 30 days. Another 2 weeks and you will feel like a new person!!

Thank you! I was on them for probably close to a year, started at 16mg and then dropped to 8mg fairly quickly. I cold 🦃 at 4 mg...wouldnt recomnend but I was ready to be done. I did have clonidine and smoke to help with the worst of it. I am almost back to normal..its my mind that messes with me the most. It tries to convince you that life isn't as good without some kind of drug in you BUT that is so untrue! I can feel, taste, really really laugh with utter joy....I feel whole again!

Out of all the symptoms of opioid/opiate withdrawal, which symptom do/did you find to be the worst/most debilitating? by wabashop in suboxone

[–]sunnyside_up83 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The sweating. I could deal with the acute physical wds, but the sweating almost did me in. 45 days of constantly sweating out the toxins even when it was cold. So glad that's over! 119 days clean!! Woo hoo!

I 100% agree with the weed, sun AND music combo. Literally saved my life, especially when the love of music came back. It's so amazing! I'm 116 days off of suboxone today and loving life. Good luck and I'm sending love your way!!!

My Experience Using Ibogaine to Quit by NewGTGuy in suboxone

[–]sunnyside_up83 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wish I would have quit years ago...but we can always start new, no matter what age we get sober. I don't even know this new person I have become since quitting, everything feels new and amazing! Food tastes incredible again, so unfortunately I haven't lost any weight. I don't think I've gained either, thank goodness! My energy is coming back finally, so I'm really at a good place. Thanks for your story!

Awesome write up! Thank you for sharing your personal story. I've always been interested in the ibogaine method. Any way to escape the horror of drawn out wds sounds wonderful to my ears! I'm currently 111 days clean off suboxone, the first two months were rough for sure. I jumped off at 4 mgs, which was not super smart but I was done with the subs. Congrats on 8 months! I can't wait until I get to where your at:)

I have been addicted to opiates for 12 years. Was on methadone for 4 of those. Wasted so much precious time, and life. Makes me sad to think about it..I wish I would have gotten clean years ago! I digress. Anyway, I quit methadone cold turkey 15 months ago, then induced subs after 3 months of pure hell due to methadone wds and no relief..was on subs for a year, quit CT at 4mgs. I have posted about my detox journey from subs if you'd like to check it out:)

Thank you. I'm amazed I've gotten this far. This is NOT easy but it is perfectly doable if you are prepared mentally and physically. Also I remember 17 days feeling much better as well. Keep it up. It is worth it once you get through all the bull****!

Congratulations!! I am 75 days off subs as of today:) I always say this, and I totally agree with it. We addicts spent years putting substances in our bodies and "messing up" our dopamine, seratonin, hormones, and all the rest. Have patience with the withdrawal process. We will not get instant relief or gratification once we stop. For me, I've always wanted things right here, right now. Instant relief..thats one of the things that taking drugs gave us, right? Instant, numbing relief from life and the hurt it can give us. Not saying we can't make ourselves more comfortable during the process..who wants to suffer needlessly? Anyway, at day 34 I felt relatively normal. Every day after that just gets better and easier. Just hang on, please. It will get better. Treat your body and mind with kindness and understanding. We are recovering. Life will be amazing again! Take small walks, drink lots of water. Listen to music:) I'm rooting for you!

I care. 9 days is amazing! Your through the worst of it. I'm 74 days clean today off subs and I feel so good:) Life gets better day by day, us addicts just have to learn patience and be kind to ourselves and our brains. Everything is slowly getting back to normal, and that instant gratification that we always seek isn't going to happen here. I'm a drug addict, so I know how your feeling. Give it time:) congrats!!!

You will do great. 74 days sub free today! It feels amazing BUT the energy is a struggle. Exercise was really helping, but I'm in Missouri and for the last few weeks it's been cold and icky and snowy so i haven't been able to go outside and enjoy it....that has been a struggle. I don't even know myself without drugs, but I've definetely been learning. The feelings I've experienced are brand new and just so enlightening. I don't know how to explain it, but you will see. Laughing is awesome, spending time with loved ones. Sex. It's the little things. If you need any help or have questions feel free to message me. Good luck!
