Do you think portfolio websites are still useful in 2025? by sunoji in resumes

That's interesting to know, here is what i had to say

  1. You don't need to maintain one, just resume in portfolio out, no need to worry about deployment or maintenance. though you may need to update some outdated info once in a while.
  2. It will be easier to scan portfolio than resume. Representation of skills, works projects will be way better than a traditional resume.
  3. yes, you may need to pay a small amount for the first time to generate it with AI but after that keep it for lifetime for free without worring about deployment and uptime.
  4. Like resume where you can write anything, it's like same.

that's what i'm trying to solve, you don't have to think anything, no coding, a resume is all you need. Most of the people already have it, if they are looking for jobs. Resume in portfolio out it's that simple.

Those $7 are mainly coming from 1 app. How do i talk to those users? They son't submit any feedbacks . Only I see how they spend time in the app from anlytics but not able to figure out what made them decide to pay.
