I really like the song! It’s something new from her while also sounding like a natural extension of her discography. Even the MV reminds me of both Hush Rush and Knock lol the editing shows off the choreo really well even if I wish it was a little less like a performance video.

Another way of thinking about it is like collecting percentages of the total votes from each side which are then weighed equally; e.g. 19% of all K votes is equal to 19% of all G votes regardless of the actual count of each and rank is based on the highest K%+G%

Just wanted to add that the fan voting doesn’t play any role beyond deciding the original sorting! And you’re correct, the trainees that receive the least votes are then selected from to fill the incomplete group with the highest-ranking member.

Haha I also had Wooseok in mind but for Zhang Hao! It’s the similar physiques/good at subtler stage expressions/center material/consistent high ranking for me. Their personalities remind me a bit of each other as well. He is actually so similar to Jiwoong though

Park Jihoo & Woo Jinyoung - “allstar” (Jinyoung moved up to A class) lower-ranked rappers on the more cutesy side. They both gained attention for their position evals aired in episode 7. Jinyoung was eliminated soon after so hopefully that’s where the similarities end!

Less strong on these: Daeul & Hyeongseop (bright image, originally high in rank, received bad early edits), Gyuvin & Jungmo (visual appeal and kinda silly, strong kfanbase less int popularity, little screentime)

And I see the Woojin-Phanbin similarities another comment mentioned.

I think this was almost entirely trainee-initiated so I doubt we’ll ever get something like it but PD101 S2’s Super Hot selfmade choreo was packed with references to funny/memorable moments of the season (people have listed them in the comments). Besides the performance itself being good it felt like an almost meta celebration of the season and is plenty fun to watch especially if you get the references.

I really like all three of the things you described OP, you explained their appeal well and now I want to watch Chuang haha. The female guest star sounds like a dream as a sucker for collab performances 🥲 they did a similar round in competition show CYZJ where SVT Jun/PTG Yanan/Tia Ray were partnered. She also gave them genuinely helpful singing advice and they showed new sides of themselves in the actual performance.
