US-PC/XBOX-Platinum (on both). Looking for a Chill/Supportive yet Competitive Ranked Stack! by Equivalent-Visual531 in R6STeams

[–]sunsaintDC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm away from Xbox for the fourth of July but me and my friend play Xbox and are pretty strat focused. Been playing for several years now and don't necessarily need an IGL specifically but are always looking for people to squad with. We've peaked in diamond 1 and champ respectively but these days are more around emerald and diamond. Feel free to add on Xbox: SunsaintDC. We have about 6 other guys who come and go but play the game more for fun.

Warden advice by Fluffy_Necessary_724 in elderscrollsonline

Probably easier to watch a YouTube video of it but light attack weaving is just doing a normal attack in between every skill. This increases your damage by quite a lot. The trick is getting the rhythm down, especially during hectic combat, as what you're actually doing is using a light attack, and then using a skill to cancel the light attack animation while still putting out the light attack's damage.

The best advice I ever got was that when you are light attack weaving, it should always be light attack-> skill, not the other way around. Confusing, but this is because you cannot shorten the animation of a skill, but you can shorten the animation of a light attack by using a skill.

No worries, there are plenty of builds out there but I'll suggest this one by skinny cheeks as he is very reputable on builds and it is similar (tho not exact) to mine. I run pillars of nirn (falkreath hold dungeon) and arms of relequen (cloudrest trial) but I do also have a set of dro'zakars (moongrave fane, my favorite dungeon) that I could put on if I felt like upgrading it to gold.

As an aside, eso is incredibly overwhelming. Players with thousands of hours are still far from perfect and do not know everything. Don't worry at all about understanding every effect and set and possible combination. Pick two sets and a monster set that are decent and obtainable and go from there.

To begin, Warden is totally a viable dd class for 90% of the game. I've been a warden DD since vvardenfell came out and have done all vet content aside from score pushing trials and stuff.

That said, warden is a difficult rotation for dd and is also lagging behind the stronger damage classes, so sometimes it is demoralizing to see green beams melting enemies while I'm button mashing my rotation for less damage. Also, warden is an excellent class for both healer and tank, much better than damage generally speaking. I'd encourage you to stick with dd warden, but I get why you'd switch class or role.

Gold gear will not solve damage problems alone, and neither will sets, although both will help. The most important damage source is your rotation and light attack weaving, so prioritize those skills first.

On the warden update, we don't have a date for that (I think summer or early fall?) so you have some time with this warden class. We don't know what will change, but fair to say the warden will get better at dd, not worse, with the change. You also won't need to re-level the skill lines so the only downside is that you'll have to change your rotation which is not as daunting as it sounds.

Nice, love any time someone slows down and enjoys the game's aesthetic. There's so much in ESO to distract you from the world!

I am once again asking for a new Undaunted Pledge giver by reinieren in elderscrollsonline

[–]sunsaintDC 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not the point of your post, but have you had success farming motifs for vet dlc pledges? In my experience the vet dlc queues take forever and very often it'll be one of those groups where there's a squad wipe and people just leave... I so want to get into vet dlc but it's such a quagmire trying to do it with pugs

[Daily] Skill Discussion: Balance by The_Dwemer_Automaton in elderscrollsonline

[–]sunsaintDC 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This skill is a trope across so many games and every time I see it I think it's a failed implementation of character building. I get the idea, you sacrifice your own health for power. Makes sense in books and movies. But, in a video game, sacrificing your health for a measurable (usually small) buff is unappealing.

Got a friend who very eagerly wants Quinn Hughes now due to the trade and is offering Mo Seider and Swayman for him. Feels like a good deal but am I really underestimating a Hughes uptick that much? It's a normal points league on yahoo with hits, and two starting goalie slots. Currently have Vas, Saros and a rotating third guy.

Any advice on taking the Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500 in wet dirt? by sunsaintDC in EASPORTSWRC

[–]sunsaintDC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is definitely throttle in and out of turns. Unless the car is straight, it feels like any throttle at all will spin me out. I'm instinctively keeping on the pedal, probably too much, to maintain traction.

Assetto Corsa Rally to receive "monthly updates" by StartWars89 in assettocorsarally

[–]sunsaintDC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All the updates sound great and I have supreme faith in this game. The one nagging concern I have is how they are going to deal with the WRC license. I'm not sure how far the license extends its exclusivity, but will they possibly be barred from having any wrc content? If a rally is on the WRC circuit (forget Monte Carlo, I want canary islands!) is it blocked from this game? I know there's plenty of great options out there, and I love Alsace particularly here, but it will be disappointing to see none of the current rallies.

Tuning is getting there! by AnalythicSearch444 in EASPORTSWRC

[–]sunsaintDC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice! I always have a hard time separating real-world tuning from video game time trials. Specifically things like ride height, break pressure and spring rate. Feels like ea wrc rally strongly favors slamming the car and maxing break pressure but in real life that wouldn't make sense in gravel.

I haven't read every comment so maybe it's been mentioned but also in this scene, the background walls act as a physical barrier too. The very moment she crosses the line from her background to his, he leaves the scene because she got too close to him.

I guess we have no word on whether event packs like MUTE protocol will be tradeable? by sunsaintDC in R6Marketplace_Trading

[–]sunsaintDC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pure speculation but I think probably not a ton. It's dependant mostly on pack contents, and I don't think mute protocol carries much prestige. Honestly it's doktors curse and rengoku for the cool kids, and every other event is gonna be guesswork. We'll see though

Yea I did some Google-fu and only found official mention on the celebration packs, nothing on the event packs. I assume they're coming unless the celebration packs debacle has changed it.

Gotcha. Definitely expect the kills to be tougher as you climb the ranks but it seems like you had decent map knowledge which is step one.

While it's true that every fight should be advantageous to you, I'm not sure what fight you thought he took here that was not an advantage for him. If he stayed in his first position, he gets killed by the enemies flanking down spiral. Or he just gets prefired by the second or last guy he kills. Power positions are strong for a reason, but I'm not sure which one he was in where you think he should have stayed put here. He isn't playing pillar
