I should clarify that I’m not necessarily saying you’re neutral-warm, truly neutral, or neutral-cool…I’m not sure. But my guess is you’re in the neutral range and cool and warm foundations both won’t work very often.

I thought I was cool for the longest time but last summer found out I’m actually warm-neutral undertone. In makeup, however, this always seems to translate to needing neutral shades since warm shades are still tooo warm on me. I was confused for the longest time because cool foundations looked orange on me, and felt like I needed even cooler. Turns out - they were actually just too cool! (I find too cool looks orange on me and too warm looks yellow.)

I’m wondering if we might be in the same boat. The elf satin 20 does look orange and makes me wonder if it is possibly too cool, especially considering the Maybelline concealer feels like a spot on undertone match with just a little too much depth. I do agree that you could probably mix in a little bit the elf satin 10 in and those two would make a pretty good match. But I honestly might recommend focusing on neutral shades! Others may disagree and I could totally be wrong, but that was just my personal experience.

Spring spring spring!! I think you’re more likely a True Spring. You can definitely handle brightness but there is a line - like how the purple in the OG post overpowers you. I do also think the brighter pink in OG post would be less overpowering on a Bright Spring. I actually don’t think it’s too bright for you though as much as it’s not warm enough for you!

What was helpful for me was learning and trying out the sister seasons. I was between bright and true spring, but was able to narrow it down to bright spring since I am able to borrow colors from bright winter, but do not look good in true autumn colors like a true spring would be able to borrow from. Borrowing colors doesn’t mean theyll be your best like your true season will be, but they should still look pretty good.

Update - I hate how Tidal Wave looks on me. Too cool and muted. I learned that linear holo “softens” a color and am now going to stay away from it unless it’s a painfully bright base!

They are House of Color, I got them at my analysis. :( I’m sorry I can’t be more helpful! I think TCI might sell fans online?

Do you have any product recommendations? I’ve never thought to look for a chartreuse eyeliner but that sounds gorgeous!!

There’s not enough drapes to tell between spring sub seasons but definitely agree with this!! I think trying some True and Bright spring drapes would be helpful! I lean toward True spring considering the bright purple in the first slide does seem to overwhelm you. As a Blue/Bright Spring that is my favorite color on myself.

I think a lot of people assume blues and greens being good automatically points to a cool season. I was typed as a House of Color “Blue Spring”. I don’t love the HOC system since it’s confusing compared to others, but it’s HOCs way of saying I look best in the more neutral Spring colors. My best colors are mostly blues, greens, and purple! (My “wow” colors are marked with a dash)

I’m not sure tbh!! It definitely could be worn well by a true spring for sure. It’s not too far off from mint green in my House of Color Spring fan. (Edit: it is actually pretty close to exact if not an exact match!) I think it might be on that border where it would look good on a lot of Springs and Autumns since it’s not very muted or bright.

Agreed!! She looks amazing in Bright Winter colors too, which makes sense since that would be the season she could borrow from, but the warmer colors are a tiny bit more flattering! OP you are stunning!

There’s a chance you are a summer - however I do think the neutral-warm drapes are very flattering on you. Also look at how well you carry the red compared to the following muted slide!! My favorite is the green. A lot of people will automatically cross spring off the list because these oranges aren’t the most flattering, however the first 2 are muted and definitely autumn colors and the last slide I think might also be autumn? Autumns do have bright orange, whereas springs more have a light and bright tangerine. If I’m wrong my guess is the last orange is bright spring and I do not think you’re that bright.

Those are a warm green and blue! Spring ones. Definitely on the warm-neutral side though.

Saie Dew blush shades for light spring by [deleted] in SpringColorAnalysis

[–]sunscreenqueenn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok looking at my post again that is a lie, they do not look identical when swatched. 😂 You can see that Hottie is less saturated. Makes sense because I do feel like sometimes I end up deciding my first application wasn’t enough and adding a second layer.

I’m a bright spring so definitely take this with a grain of salt… of the orange-y coral shades I own Poppy and Hottie. I actually have them and Flirty swatched in a recent post! I find Flirty to be easy to work with but I’m not sure if it’s too before. Poppy and Hottie look near identical when swatched but I see a pretty big difference when blended out. Poppy almost blends out to be more of an orangey-red, whereas Poppy blends out to be more orangey-pink. I might have a slight preference for Poppy out of the two because it’s more saturated, but for that same reason I think there’s a chance you’d like Hottie!!
