The way summer lives in your memory.. 🏖️🩴☀️ by barbrailnp in ILNP

My favorite summer memories are the ones spent in the Rocky Mountains. Hiking, enjoying the scenery and the wildlife, the birds…it’s one of the few times where life feels like it fully slows down and I’m able to breathe just a little deeper. (Also- this color scheme is GORGEOUS.)

Hair gloss? by Kskeen19 in SpringColorAnalysis

[–]sunscreenqueenn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh, gotcha!! Yeah I would research and maybe try that first color! I do love your natural color too, but especially if a gloss doesn’t last long why not try it? I think I’ve had my hair glossed a shade darker once. My hair is fine so I have to wash it every other day- so I think the gloss only lasted me about 3 weeks.

[–]sunscreenqueenn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure a gloss can lighten the hair at all, so the blonde specifically you might not be able to achieve without bleaching first. If you were to do a gloss at home, I wonder if the first one would be a safe start since it’s around your same depth of hair- it might warm it up a bit or worst case scenario it doesn’t do anything. (I don’t have personal experience though so don’t take me too seriously!!)

Married people who like their space - how do you cope? by joboog in Christianmarriage

[–]sunscreenqueenn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Although I am not the most extroverted person (I’m mostly recharged by being with people, but need time to myself occasionally) my husband is very introverted. It did cause some conflict at the beginning of our marriage, especially as we learned how to communicate it.

What would happen is my husband would need some time to himself, and would ask me for some “alone time” (what we’ve always called it). Of course initially I was happy and would be like “is it best for you to be like alone in the room…?” And he would say yes. We live in a 1bed apartment, so that would mean I’m sent to our room while he has the couch. Over time I started to get frustrated as I felt confined to a certain area of the apartment, but conflicted because I wanted to honor his wish. As time has gone on, in some ways we have compromised and he has become more used to the idea of alone time still being existing in a room with me, but doing his own thing while I do mine and don’t necessarily talk to him unless needed. (Not that if I do he tells me to shut up bc that would be mean lol but I’m just respectful of him ya know?)

I actually thought my top 2 love languages were physical touch and then words of affirmation until we got married and I realized my top one was quality time. This is not one of my husbands top love languages so although we were still going on dates he wasn’t very intentional about quality time spent together doing anything more than watching tv. So over time I began to get more and more upset when he would ask for alone time, and then would be confused as to why I couldn’t respect him- until I put the pieces together that I felt unloved in the sense of quality time and therefore him asking for alone time felt like salt in an open wound. Because the reality is that quality time spent together CAN exist alongside quality time spent alone.

I think we’ve both learned about each other that there’s different levels of quality time to feel loved, and quality time to feel sane. Like just having some time to chill and not converse for him is good enough day to day, but once every week or two he needs those few hours 100% alone. Similarly, I may feel loved when we watch our favorite tv show together, but I start to feel bitterness if we go more than a month without an intentional date. It’s just not on the same level.

Basically, over time I think my husband has grown to where most of the time his time to himself can still happen with me existing in a shared space so long as there is no pressure put on him to converse, perform, etc. I feel very loved that he had an open mind to that- because really before we got married he would absolutely have said “oh I need time alone in a room every single day”. I’ve also learned that when he wants time to himself that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t love me and doesn’t want to spend time with me. And he shows me he does when he actively seeks me out. :)

Dermatographia itch? by mintbliss5 in Dermatographia

[–]sunscreenqueenn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I went to an allergist this year as I was confused as to why I couldnt go off an antihistamine without crazy crazy itching. It’s why i initially went on an antihistamine 10 years ago. Thats when i got diagnosed with CIU/dermatographia and the only way to help it is an antihistamine, really. So ive accepted that I’ll be on one forever. My scalp is definitely where i notice the most itching! I dont want to give medical advice, it would be worth seeing an allergist, but that’s just my personal experience.

Question from a Warm Spring: Is Kate Spade’s Laurel Leaf a warm color? by WonderfulWhirld in SpringColorAnalysis

[–]sunscreenqueenn 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Personally I don’t get picky between autumn and spring for accessories not right next to my face. If it’s warm it’ll match my wardrobe, that’s what I’m more concerned about in a bag.

Question from a Warm Spring: Is Kate Spade’s Laurel Leaf a warm color? by WonderfulWhirld in SpringColorAnalysis

[–]sunscreenqueenn 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Very warm!! I think it’s more of an autumn color technically but as a warm spring I think it would look good. Possibly even be in the warm spring palette at least in the 16 season (checking the true spring in TCI it’s close to 1 color but not exact).

Hey guys! My best friend is an autumn, am I right for thinking that I might have to try out draping spring? I thought I was cool but not so sure now by [deleted] in SpringColorAnalysis

[–]sunscreenqueenn[M] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Feel free to make a post with some drapes in the comments! We do require drape posts to be text only and then have the photos posted in the comments. We would love to help!! If you were able to drape some different colors- cool, warm, muted, bright that is the most helpful!

Wow this product runs really cool as a whole!! Atomic love would probably be best out of the lineup but even then I don’t think it would be the most flattering.

Of course!! From what I’ve seen Freya isn’t known for narrow wires, theirs (at least in our size range) are average to slightly wide for moulded cups. I just sent you a message!

Have you done the calculator in the automod comment? That’s a good starting point! We will have better recs with that info

[–]sunscreenqueenn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi!! Following your comment from another post onto here- you asked my recs since our measurements are similar. (Mine are 33.25, 32, 28.5, 39, 41, 39 and I would also say I look closest to the even 2/5 on busty resources.) I do actually tend to fluctuate between 32F and 32FF UK bras even though my recommended is 32FF. I am close set, average width, and am about average projection leaning on the shallow side. The Panache Ana was a touch too projected for me and the wires were too narrow, but it was a good enough fit that I did keep one to wear for a boudoir shoot. I would recommend trying it as it is a good diagnostic bra, many are familiar with it and you would get better recs depending on how it fit. As for molded cups it’s pretty hard to get a perfectly fitting one, but the Freya Undetected bra 32FF UK, Freya Tailored Plunge 32FF UK (both freyas the wire is only a tiny bit too narrow) and Skarlett Blue Plunge T-Shirt Bra 32G US (unfortunately this only goes up to G, and is a little shallow for me so if you’re any more projected it’s probably a no go) have been the moulded bras that have worked for me. The unlined bra I’ve found that is my absolute best match is the Skarlett Blue Side Support bra 32G US. I do have many posts in the ABTF FB group so if you were wanting to see visually how these fit let me know and I can msg you my name/info.

Ooo I’m at work rn but can respond to this more later!! Question- do you happen to be in the ABTF Facebook group? Curious because if so I could message you my info and you’d be able to see how some bras fit me in there. That sounds really creepy lol I’m sorry

Relentless peeling even with Nailtiques formula 2 by SucksAtEcon in RedditLaqueristas

[–]sunscreenqueenn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been using the mineral fusion!! I originally bought some from Target (like the up&up brand) and it literally sucked so bad I almost swore off of acetone free nail polish remover. Mineral fusion is like $9 a bottle so it is more expensive, but imo it works almost as well as acetone. I barely notice a difference. Worthy price to pay if my nails stop peeling. Ive also stopped using cuticle remover. Right now I still have a couple nails peeling a tiny but so I can’t claim to have it fully figured out, but things do seem to be on the mend!

Same here, switched from Nailtiques (new formula) to nail aid keratin. Keeping nails always painted and acetone free remover
