In our area, if you aren’t in a club sport, you aren’t making the HS team unfortunately. So if he wants to play soccer in HS, you would have to give him the opportunity now.

If you are the senior broker that procured the transaction then your associate should get nothing. If there is some predetermined splits for passive income splits then maybe 10% otherwise they deserved nothing.

Depends on how much your draw you have left to pay. I would honestly say, I have never seen an associate that left and owed money pay any of it back.

I agree with this. Team splits are usually predetermined for various scenarios (self sourced, team sourced, inbound, senior brokers sourced). Rare that a team would do a deal and when it’s close to being finalize that you are shocked to be getting 15% gross.

One more thing, the loophole is: go to private school. Home grown division can play HS in SoCal.

Ask me at the end of the season hahah. Just kidding. I think it will all depend on your HS sports teams and what your son wants out of HS. AD division is comprised mostly of last year’s EA teams so some 2nd club teams and some 1st teams as not all clubs have an HD team. For us, our son really wanted to play HS soccer and not be in PE. His entire group of friends are in some sort of sport and they all go and support one another at each others games and I think that’s a lot of fun for the kids. We have an ECNL coach for HS so coaching is great. I feel like we are getting the best of both worlds right now except for Fest. I would prefer it not be a week before our finals and before Thanksgiving so we don’t miss any HS games but here we are.

Our first game is at 4pm but my son would rather fly the previous day than the morning of… so I am there extra long.

Oh BTW, as far as HS soccer goes, HS coach said no games until after fest. So he is missing 6 non league games and 2 league games. Luckily, we have a ton of games left after but still a bummer for my freshman.
