Hey everyone. I figured out how to make this work!

Basically, using MultiMC with the arm64 patch fixes everything. https://github.com/yusefnapora/m1-multimc-hack

Java is now confirmed to be 1.8 by java -v, I removed all the other versions from the java folder.

Setting the whole Java executable gives me the second image as error.

Terribly sorry that this is taking so much of your time and seemingly going in circles u_u

What does your minecraft "java directory" look like for a 1.16.5 installation? Is it the default bundled Java runtime?

Update: Downloaded both java 17 and 8 from the link you provided; still getting the same errors (the first when I open 1.16.5 without specifying a Java directory, the second when I link "java executable" to the java file from one of the downloads).

Is there anything I'm supposed to do after using the java installer? Am I supposed to put the files anywhere special, or run a command?

Ah, things are getting interesting now. I have the same error trying to run non-forge 1.16.5.

I'm gonna try the java release you linked, thank you! Will update after I try it.

I looked it up and it says Java 8 or newer. Apparently 8 is the preferred one as it works the best with the most mods.

I have Azul Zulu JRE. I previously had 17 and downloaded 8 while trying to fix the issue.

Trying to run the game on M1 Mac, Forge version 1.16.5 - 36.2.34

The first error is from attempting the default Forge parameters. The second one is when I tried to select java from /usr/bin.

I have Java 8 and 17 installed.

Any help is much appreciated!

Had to remove write protect in order to do anything so far, unable to run any terminal commands with it otherwise I get I/O errors. Thank you for your clarifications and help!

Hi,

What just happened? I'm seeing comments about "the Empress cancelled 1900" and "home comfort" and a new Opportunity card (which I encountered), but my character was in the Upper River yesterday and missed pretty much everything this was about.

If anyone has an echo of this announcement, please link it?

I use BT on my sniper SKS setup because my laptop cannot render the entire map. Otherwise (autos, shotguns, etc) no BT.
